The ferry back from Bestival was awful - I remember coming back and 'My Heart Will Go On' playing on a loop, a very rough sea and a dirty hangover. Otherwise, great festival. Pr0paneNightm4re
I can see Raye headlining in a shocking move. She’s blown up as of late and has large industry backing (the brits show felt pointless to watch as they just handed her everything). I saw her at Parklife and thought she was fantastic but can’t help that in a few years time she’ll be looked at similarly to the likes of Paloma Faith.

If they got Raye headlining considering other events she's doing over Olivia that would be madness.

Was this low stock point (which I can't recall) at the same time as the Pyramid nadir of Landfill Indie Friday around 2007? It can't have credibly been at any point thereafter. Class is permanent etc.. I saw him in Vegas in 2008, then a Stadium in 2014...think anyone saying he was going to pop into "El Pointo" on a Sunday afternoon was sounding silly. No - but it was prior to the quadruple-whammy of his Autobiography, the Rocket Man film, his emergence as a chart contender and the announcement of the farewell tour. About the time his only gigs seemed to be in odd rural football stadiums.

I'm surprised at how she isn't popping up much in people's predictions here as a Pyramid sub given the fact she's touring, playing a fair few festivals, and given how much Emily loves her. The rest of the site was like a ghost town from long before the Elton set, at least S of the Railway track, presumably elsewhere as well. It was a great illustration of how the demographic has changed. Anyway good on your mate, he made the right move
