2025 Headliners

I seem to recall that ELO were a bridge too far for me one year, and took the opportunity to just park my arse in a chair back at camp and have a smoke and a chat instead.  Did me the world of good, just enough energy recouped before the rain returned for one last stab at finishing the festival on a high note (spoilers: it worked out perfectly).

Probably doesn’t mean too much because we know a lot of the rumoured names for the bigger slots but does this mean Halsey may be around for the G?

halsey has been teasing a summer tour and posted an instagram story with a link to sign up for updates a couple days ago. Just a wait and see.

Yeah agreed, I missed underworld that year which still hurts. The mud just made getting around far too slow with two pre teens. We ended camped way out at wicket, only time I camped there and never again.

I think the organisers are probably more likely to not clash Charli XCX & The 1975 because of their audience crossover compared to the Charli XCX/Neil Young crossover, not because of Charli + George's relationship.

That being said I really hope Charli is Friday because that NY/Charli clash is killing me

I agree with your first sentence - there's two clear reasons why clashing them makes no sense (or one clear and one not clear however you want to look at it!)

Yes, we really wanted to enjoy ELO but we were soaked, cold and hungry so saw some of their set and headed off for some comfort food under shelter. And like you it worked well and enjoyed the rest of the night.

On the latest episode of the Sidetracked podcast, Nick Grimshaw says he was told last year the headliners are The 1975 on the Friday, Neil Young on the Saturday and Stevie Wonder the Sunday. He said he took it with a pinch of salt at the time but now Neil Young has been announced thinks it could be about right.

2020 came pretty damn close.

Yeah 2020 would have been one I'd not have wanted to miss and I had tickets more than the 2022 return which was nowhere near as good as I think it's hyped. Don't get me wrong I'd have liked to be there but there was only a couple of acts that were like this was your chance.

Probably depends when he was told - last year could mean any time.

Stevie has been rumoured but it's always been in partnership with BST and that doesn't seem to be happening

Maybe a one off actually makes Stevie more likely given his age and health issues?

BST is the payday though - Glasto pay buttons, so probably wouldn't make financial sense to bring his whole band over without also getting that sweet Barclays wedge

That would suggest Rodrigo came on to replace Wonder, which seems fascinating.

Would also seem very unlikely, given she's been expected longer than anyone.. Since well before the last festival.

Worth remembering that BBC presenters don't always have the scoop, and can hear / believe gossip just as much as anyone.

We’ll likely never know how much of a priority it is. The other thing baffling me is Young being Saturday and Rodrigo Sunday. Other way round makes all sorts of sense but I wonder if it’s come down to when Young is available.

I think it'll keep more people on site for Sunday
