nectarofthegods
Eminem would be a huge get for the festival. Absolutely one of the biggest hiphop acts there ever has been probably THE biggest, has huge crossover appeal that no other rapper really has. And has a lot of cross generational appeal, gen Z absolutely love him, older people also have more appreciation of him vs basically any other hiphop act, whether thats a good thing or not. Also he is widely considered one of the most talented rappers by pretty much every other rapper. They’re never going to have Nas on Glastonbury headliner cos he’s just nowhere near big enough so thats a useless argument lol. Rihanna isn’t on Eminem’s level come on now. She’s big fame wise but talent wise not even close. She’s not creative, she hasn’t transformed a genre. Didn’t write a single word her whole career. You could have swapped in anyone who could hold a tune to sing Umbrella and it wouldn’t make a difference. If Emily has a shred of wit she would sell her organs to try and secure a Madonna booking no chance her pulling out once would impact things at all 1
CaledonianGonzo
Very little chance of Emily reaching out to Madonna again after Madge drive up to the farm and started doing donuts on the front lawn whilst flicking the Vs.
Homersexual
I'm really hoping that Tame Impala headlines next year, given that Kevin has a new album out soon, and it felt like him appearing with Dua Lipa was a little taster for him of what's to come. I'll be stood there all day with a piss bag if need be to get a front row view. I'd also be made up if the female headliner happens to be Madonna or Rihanna, but I don't hold out much hope for either of them. I fear we may end up with Taylor Swift instead. Swifties are insufferable enough in online spaces, let alone in real life...

Same level. Rihanna has more number 1's anyway and she hasnt released music in 8 years and still has a presence in streaming and whatnot. It just comes down to preference. You just want an easy way to see Eminem cause you wouldnt otherwise. Rihanna is the rarer booking but since you feel she is lazy as hell cause she got bored with music and became a billionaire in the meantime then you just dont want a name at the too of the bill you despise. I didnt want Ed Sheeran in 2017 but I just went elsewhere. Nobody will miss you in the fields when she is performing.
Suprefan
16 hours ago, Justcalledtosay said: That sounds to me like she's bottled it. No sane person pulls out of headlining Glastonbury on that basis. yes they do. Madonna doesnt compromise her sh*t. Emily shouldve understood that. She pulled off the whole show outdoors in Brasil back in May. Glasto just didnt want to put the work in to make it happen. I mean Madonna is so batshit she wanted to come down from the ceiling of the stadium when she did the Super Bowl Halftime show. They had to tell her no because she brought it up 2 days before the game during rehearsals. At that point you aint cancelling anything anyway. This year they gave Dua and Coldplay their little mini stage and changed the configuration of the front pit area and such to make it happen. Theyll have to be willing to keep making more changes with productions cause nobody wants to just be on a stage anymore and thats it. Hell, Coldplay does songs in 3 different areas on their solo gigs.

danmarks
Tame impala played 2016 - thought it was other stage headliner but just checked and it was before Adele( buggered off for park stage before she started so hence my memory playing tricks). Dont think he/they are any bigger since then- if not slightly less in demand. Also saw him at 02 and there were some sections closed off due to not selling 1 hour ago, CaledonianGonzo said: I dunno - the insane crowd reaction when Kevin Parker came out with Dua Lipa shows he's one of the most famous men in music. I mean, she's a single singer, if she can't fit onto that stage for a one off show then her ego is even greater than I thought. I mean as others have said we will probably not know the complete truth about the breakdown - but it broke in the media late February you would think normally Glastonbury have the headliners locked in way earlier than that -
Euphoricape
Tame impala headlined the other stage in 2019. I like their music but i don't think it translates very well to the live stage. I got bored half way through and headed to south east corner instead.

I was at that and the rest of the lineup was pants, the sound was terrible, the crowd was sketchy and fortunately I can’t remember a thing of it as I got spiked with suspected GHB (like many others there that day). And it was really expensive. Tame could pull off a glasto headline slot I’m sure.

I guess next summer will be three years since Harry's House, so maybe new music. But Love On Tour was a huge undertaking and I dunno if he'll be mounting anything similar after being on the road for 3 years straight. In the same way I'm not expecting Swizzle to gear up to do anything for 2026.
