Yeah but did you see shite Glastonbury booked on the other stages?, worst overall headline choices and that was quite a broad thought.

Should have gone to Justice.

How does that work?

Makes no sense

Assuming the other two headliners are O-Rod and Fred, Sam Fender as the third makes it a pretty average to weak set of three. Get someone with much more experience as a third and it looks far more balanced, imo.

Fender isn’t an established stadium level act yet. By all accounts he will be next year, and with that under his belt in ‘27, he’d be a far stronger headliner.

Fender would be a weak choice in ‘25 but a strong one in ‘27, imo. I’d also be disappointed if he’s headlining next year.

This makes no sense. Why does he have to wait 2 years to suddenly be ready to headline? He's only after selling out a complete arena UK/European tour in a matter of hours. I'd be happy enough to see him headline. Seen him at Belsonic last year and crowd goes fairly mental for his sets. Absolutely brilliant live.

As for Fred, he does absolutely nothing at all for me. It's all down to opinions on who you'd prefer to headline as your reasoning just doesnt add up.

The other way of looking at it, with the exact same set of tourdates, could be that he's at the height of his powers in 2025 and by 2027 will Mumford it.

I don’t have an issue with headliners who I’d prefer not see headlining because I don’t want to be tethered to the Pyramid for three nights on the trot. I just don’t think Fender is likely alongside other rumours people seem quite convinced by. That trio wouldn’t be balanced like we’re used to seeing. You can prefer to believe my reasoning doesn’t add up, if that’s your opinion 😉

Don't think there's been any fresh news either way - but the timing with BST and Coop looks too convenient.

Wait, what? Is Olivia Rodrigo doing BST? I must have missed that somehow.

Not confirmed but rumoured for Friday 27th June at BST. Which would leave a very suspicious gap that fits perfectly to play the Saturday or (less likely) Sunday at Glastonbury.

I’m not somebody who’s ever been convinced about Fred. You’d need to ask those who are.

You said Sam Fender was weak on the assumption that the other headliners were Fred and O Rod, but you don;t think Fred is doing it?

So one? And I don't think much faith can be put in that

I said I’m not convinced he is, but on the assumption that he is, that’s how I’d feel about Sam Fender being announced.

Personally think Sam Fender would be significantly better playing fresh on a new album in 2025 as opposed to potentially at the tail end of the same album in 2027.

could just do '28

I reckon Sam Fender would appeal to the current demographics of the Glasto crowd, with Olivia and a well established act such as Stevie Wonder on Sunday . But of course everyone has their own opinions and thankfully as usual there are plenty of stages for those looking for something different.
