She epitomises the festival for me, feel like she’d be perfect for it! Sunday before Olivia it looks very likely now

Lewis Capaldi was one example, quite recently, although I think he ended up pulling out of R+L Yeah that was when Lewis was a second stage head before The Killers during the dual main stage experiment that has since been canned. Looks too like they've canned the 6 headliners idea. Hozier & Chappell Roan appear to be co-heads but BMTH & Travis Scott seem to be standalone bill-toppers. giantkatestacks
The 21 year old says a) that would have cost them a fortune and b) would want to go for travis, trippie and virji if it wasnt an arena style 15 years old hellfest. They could just do a few fleeting dates across the summer in Europe and that be it. They did R&L 2017, but they’re a bit more limited in headliner choice and it could get me there on a day ticket. Mind you R&L day tickets are extortionate these days. Well it's a moot point now given the Reading and Leeds line-up is out with no Muse on it. I am aware that the possibility is there - the 2024 tour schedule is literally just two Middle East concerts. But feels like in theory at least the machine would be more active than just the 3 European shows announced so far (although a Brazil date was being rumoured on their Reddit) and if they are going to be in the area, why not throw in a show in the UK? Guess we'll find out though. Like you say, not an obligation.
Sorcha17
"Chappell Roan will be making the victory lap off the back of the phenomenal slowburn success of her debut album ‘The Rise And Fall Of A Midwest Princess‘, appearing at R&L as an English headline exclusive." From the NME article - very odd wording there on the exclusivity.

Yeah we got a few bits that she was subbing ORod but all kind of doubted it because we also had info she was headlining Reading/Leeds and assumed she’d be a UK exclusive or something. She isn’t, and there aren’t many other places she could realistically pop up in a non-headlining position, so that looks very good for Glastonbury (and a massive booking for them too given her trajectory). CaledonianGonzo
If they get Chappell, Chaka, Smokey and Duran Duran on the Pyramid in non top line slots that's some serious heat.

archiegow
Really was tempted to put BMTH on my newest lineup prediction as Other headliner but looks like they’re an R&L exclusive which makes Loyle/Charli/The Prodigy much more secure. Wonder if they could be in headliner contention after the fallow?

I'd love to see BMTH headline glasto but it feels like they're currently missing some 'big' commercial songs that a lot of the audience would know. And I say that as a massive BMTH fan. Then again they're a British band that's worked their way up festival line-ups relentlessly, if their commercial peak gets any higher than it is right now, then I'd say they absolutely do deserve to headline the pyramid.

So its gonna be the Powerpop Girls, Olivia and The 1975 as the most anti Taylor lineup you could think of lol.
