Yeah, I cannot imagine it runs beyond 2026. Still not fully convinced they'll even do that, which would leave mainland Europe in the lurch.

 

My head tells me it's stadiums in Europe along with some big '26 UK gigs - likely Knebworth or the ilk.

Carpenter at BST then, means she'll be this side of the pond near Glasto. I imagine she's very likely appear over the weekend. Placement will be interesting, 2 people playing BST this year, one will headline and other wont... Providing O-Rod info is true.

Semantics anyway, I don't care about R&L but if she plays Glasto I will be ecstatic. Lineup is shaping up to be an all timer. 

For it to be an all-timer , your headliners need to be on point. The 1975, O-Rod and Neil Young are not on point as a collective (or individually) for that that matter.

Not to burst the whole Chappell Roan bubble but in the past 10 year only 1 Pyramid sub has played Reading & Leeds in the same year. Not to say it's not possible, just not likely. On the other hand multiple Other stage headliners have played Reading & Leeds in the same year.

 

Makes me think she could be up against Neil Young while Charli XCX subs The 1975.

Don't think that that historic placements of that nature really matter - ultimately, if the R&L contract also allows the act to play Glastonbury, then it's up to Glastonbury to decide where they best fit.

I spent most of my time in Avalon and Acoustic last year... and thankfully still had a wonderful time!  Ideally I always like to see one Pyramid Headliner, but all the rumours so far suggest that for a second year running I probably won't be!

Back in October I said that I thought all three Primavera headliners would be subbing at Glastonbury. And it looks more and more likely.

The neil young info included Charli XCX headlining the other on the same night though. If one is true, both probs are

Interesting, must have missed that info, maybe Chappell is headlining Other on a different night? Up against the 1975? It almost seems too obvious for her to sub O-Rod that I think Glastonbury purposely wouldn't do it cause they don't want people just staying in the same place on Sunday.

Chappell info was specifically for before O Rod. Imo Chappell makes more sense for sub than other headline as she only has one album. But nothing confirmed anyway and days and positions do tend to move about even after acts have confirmed.

2024 isn't really a useful yardstick given that generally speaking the lineup was pretty sub-par.

 

2023 had Lewis Capaldi third down and even if I'm not a fan he's still a pretty big deal.

Mainland Europe is 2026 from hints when someone posted the spreadsheet and the fact they never posted page 2 when asked by several people tells me there are festivals in 2026.
