Best Smaller Acts to Check out 2024?

I want to ignore all the big bands from last nights announcement for now and address the large list of smaller artists - there's so many I've not heard of and want some pointers as to where to start.

Excited for Alien Weaponry and Wargasm!!

Scowl are brilliant. Hardcore punk/Riot grrrl.

Karnivool are in my view one of the best live bands there is. Progressive metal. 

Pest Control I've only listened to a few times before this announcement but growing on me. UK thrash metal.

Urne I got into recently. UK Metal with a lot of doom and sludge influence.

Heriot fantastic live. UK extreme metal.

For me, I'd recommend Alpha Wolf, Bleed From Within, Holding Absence and Oxymorrons.

Alpha Wolf and Holding Absence did a split EP last year that's definitely worth checking out for a taste of both. Bleed From Within are a metal band from Glasgow who have toured with Megadeth, Lamb of God etc. Oxymorrons blend elements of hip-hop and punk/rock and I enjoy the outcome.
