The chances of them doing Austria, Switzerland and the UK in 3 days before going back down to Italy is incredibly unlikely. The only time they have 3 days in a row are when 2 of them are in the same country with RaR/RiP who have two events running side by side. Not impossible but very unlikely. People slowly coming round to the whole Green Day/Sleep Token/Korn thing!
NorthernSoul52 Posted yesterday at 12:03 PM Report Share Posted yesterday at 12:03 PM Yeah, I'd say that nails Slipknot out to pasture.
Spiral_Low Posted yesterday at 01:27 PM Report Share Posted yesterday at 01:27 PM Would say that Deftones date rules them out. Incubus ruled out by their UK exclusive date. Judas Priest likely as in Norway on the Saturday, free both other days.

DomDom1984
If Sleep Token play and don't headline, it'll be a massive missed opportunity.

From previous times it would be a tour more likely for Download to get later on or after than event. I think the point Weezer are special guest and not co-headliner though suggests they wouldn't have the sub whoever they did play. I think Judas Priest at Download isn't happening. 2 hours ago, BrutalLegend said: Still got a feeling Sleep Token will sub Linkin Park this time around. I think they are doing BST as an Exclusive. DomDom1984
I'm expecting Yellowcard to have a prominent Avalanche slot. Maybe even headliner.
Alvoram
Hot Milk have played Download 2 of the last 4 festivals. They are in a play one miss one cycle, Played 2021, missed 2022, played 2023, missed 2024... So I expect (hope) they'll be there next year. (Going to see them again on Saturday as it happens.) Think Jimmy Eat World will be on the Green Day day. Can see Yellowcard headlining Avalanche as someone in the thread has mentioned as they’re about. Harsh putting Palaye Royale up against Green Day, feel like they’ll do a different day if they’re there. I also feel like Motionless In White are nailed on. Info from elsewhere has said they are two of three second stage headliners and when i think about that second stage now starts later than main sub during to their way of planning and structure it makes sense. Download sub time wise isn't that different to if they were playing 3rd down whereas second stage is actually closer to sub now. 1 hour ago, foolee said: Feel like it’s going to be fairly close to this. Jimmy Eat World would definitely need to be on the Green Day day. I think they might do Glastonbury as well similar slot to Bloc Party/one below. Turnstile are way more likely to be on the ST or Korn days. Three Days Grace, Bullet and Flogging Molly would be a decent top 3 but I see Bullet as subs. northernangel
I'm also expecting Download to have AFI in this announcement and Green Day day for me at least bands wise would make sense. Then, Jimmy and Rise Against I'd probably pay full price for the ticket.
TWY2911
Maybe something like this Friday Apex: Green Day / Weezer / Frank Carter and the Sex Pistols / Jimmy Eat World / Hot Milk Opus: Spiritbox / Knocked Loose / Ice Nine Kills Avalanche: Skindred Dogtooth: Cannibal Corpse Saturday Apex: Sleep Token / Bad Omens / Turnstile / Motionless in White / Bury Tomorrow Opus: Slayer / Anthrax / Lorna Shore Avalanche: Yellowcard Dogtooth: Whitechapel Sunday Apex: Korn / Bullet For My Valentine / Rob Zombie / Rise Against / Hatebreed Opus: Falling in Reverse /Three Days Grace 2x / Lindemann Avalanche: The Story So Far Dogtooth: Exodus Don't know if some of these bands are about or not

When they played in 2017 the crowd was rather lackluster and, from where we were (very near the front) quiet. If they're back, I'd love to see them in a tent or maybe sub the second stage. That said, I don't think they'll be at DL.

They were only separated by Volbeat back in 2022. I would think it would be booked something like: Green Day Weezer/whoever Frank Carter and the SP JEW Spiritbox Rise Against (same time as Frank) So you would be able to have a run of JEW, Frank Carter, Weezer/RA, Spiritbox and Green Day. I think just from my view of liking both, that clash would make a lot of people buy RA tour tickets in the knowledge they would go to see Weezer at Download. 53 minutes ago, Gejonimo said: AFI are one of the few bands that wherever they go, I shall follow. I'm shocked at Trees not having them this year after those clues and booking one of the poorest sets of 5 headliners I think they could have got. They way overhyped expectation. I too by the way would put them as an Avalanche headliner but the real spot this year it think they would suit is under ADTR at Slam Dunk. I too had it not been cancelled was going to AFI at Trees. I actually didn't go to that Download day in 17 because I thought Biffy at Download is just not great and nor was their martial output then and I wasn't bothered about seeing anyone apart from that top 3. They didn't massively overhype it really. They said biggest ever, 5 headliners is bigger than 3. People overhyped it themselves. AFI aren't much bigger than anything they've booked, much better sure, but still. They will have asked them anyway, they always do, so that makes me think they are playing everything Green Day do this summer. Gaslight Anthem with Don Broco and Frank Turner and TSS is a bigger deal than their whole headliner booking this year. And Bullet + Frank Carter probably is as well. They've booked 4 headliners that are level with the smaller sized headliner they generally book....like Thrice when that was a weak option x 4. I don't know who you mean in regards to everything Weezer do but I'm not sure Green Day?

I don't know who you mean in regards to everything Weezer do but I'm not sure Green Day? He means that he thinks AFI will be playing with Green Day all summer as they’re signed on for a package tour in Australia through March. The massive acts usually do have some big supports who sign up for other legs of the tour across different countries. AFI on Main last time was a disaster, though, so I hope they aren’t on there again but if they’re coming with Green Day, they probably would be. Don’t get me wrong, I loved it when they played in 2017 and had a great time but it was the smallest crowd I’ve ever seen for a logo band on the DL Main Stage and they didn’t seem too happy up on stage, especially Davey. I’ll forever remember the image of him bellowing the end of Miss Murder and then launching the mic and storming off stage.
