You've had bands like Feeder headline in the past and Copping has said Limp Bizkit have to headline when they next play, Korn are hardly a weak headliner.

Feeder I'm fairly sure, I'm fine to be corrected were indeed due to Blink pulling out. Limp Bizkit have so many more wide recognisable tunes in my opinion anyway. The difference with an undercard that was decent seeing LB vs Korn at the top is chalk and cheese.

Not really. Just because you don't see Korn as a headliner doesn't mean they aren't. They've already headlined Download in France.

What has France got to do with it? Billy Talent headline in Germany shall we stick them on top of the bill in the UK?

Size wise they are a weak headliner. They’ve never done a solo UK arena tour, they haven’t released anything new since they last played and subbed in 22 and their most recent tour was 36k. Be happy that they’re getting the chance to headline by all means, but facts are facts.

As much as we have clashed over time this sums it up.

They've recently done 3 massive outdoor shows

Are you trolling at this point?

They weren’t ‘massive’. The total tickets across all 3 of those dates were 36,000.

I was going to say it's time to leave this one now as it's either trolling or complete delusion when we're saying 25, 6 and 8 as capacity venues is massive.

It’s flogging a dead horse at this point. Some people don’t seem to be able to get their head around the fact that you can still be a massive fan of a band but acknowledge the facts that they are a weak booking/smaller headliner.

It’s the same mindset as the Facebook mob that ask why Saxon aren’t headlining every year.

Korn will do just fine on the night regardless of being a “smaller” headliner. And tbh going by the socials I think the vast majority of people’s ire is going to be directed at Sleepy T, people are down for Korn headlining.

Sleep Token are a marmite band for sure. You either get them or you don't so that's definitely gonna be the bigger talking point for Download-goers.

I've got loads of bands I'm a massive fan of and if suddenly they were headlining I'd be like WTF but I also know I'm thinking they shouldn't be that top spot. I've also enjoyed bands headlining I really liked while thinking they should really have a other band on now.

Yeah ST haven't got the beat reaction to the idea of it. The thing with Download is they like what they like and that happens to be a lot of repeats of the same bands, the same metal and blah blah.

I cannot believe people are still arguing about whether a band is big enough to headline, for like two months!

There is a very easy way to see if a band is big enough to headline - their name is at the top of the poster.

Semantics, but we weren’t arguing about whether they were big enough to headline, we were arguing about if they were a ‘weak’ booking.

They are the same thing really aren't they? I thought we very much were arguing if they were big enough to headline.

That said not arsed anymore. They aren't a headline band, they are a hooked in choice, they'll put on a show and get a big crowd but so would Skindred. There we go.

Yeah, fair, suppose you’re right.

But, the original argument started because someone said if one of the rumoured headliners was bumped down to sub it should be Sleep Token. Which obviously isn’t true, as Korn are objectively the weakest of the 3.

Ah yes without a doubt, if Korn could sell out their tour then I'd say fairplay but these acts put on a one day show in London that reaches 4k more than The 02 with a huge population and optimum transport links for a reason.
