The only band that would get me there on their own pull is AFI

I’ve got my fingers crossed for AFI too!

AFI I a must for me. If AFI played a different day to Green Day then I would try and find bands to see. What I've found myself in the past doing those is checking bands out and when it came it actually not being bothered and realising I've forced it a bit. Two occasions when this wasn't the case was Slam Dunk with Charlotte Sands and Maggie Lindermann but they were booked for a festival I'm more likely to attend anyway.

I don't know what else AFI would be doing unless they are at Outbreak. I guess they might not even come over and they haven't appeared on the couple of lineups with Green Day. I would definitely miss Sex Pistols for then if they played like second sub.

Slayer, Judas Priest, Weezer, Deftones, Jimmy Eat World, The Story So Far, Skindred, The Wonder Years and Sunami

My worst case scenario is that AFI clash with Weezer. But out if this Weezer, JEW, TSSF would be alright and Skindred. I would definitely take MM playing under Korn for example too.

Sex Pistols with Frank Carter, Dead Kennedys, Napalm Death, Weezer, Jimmy Eat World, Slayer, Body Count, Status Quo, Slash, but I need 2 proper headliners. I understand people say there's probably still 10 bands minimum you'll want to see etc, but i can probably see them all for 90 minutes at their own gigs and not spend £350 on a ticket plus double on food booze and travel in one go. so the headliners have to be worth the admission money alone. If it is Korn who ive seen twice at download, sleep token who i don't mind but wouldn't pay to see, then I can't justify more than a day ticket to GD with hopefully SPFC and Weezer subbing.

That's kinda how I look at it with everything else that contributes to the cost of what you wouldnt see vs who you would for longer sets without the costs invovled. I bet the differenceonce you've entered in a day of beers and food suddenly changes. For who I'd actually really be bothered about, it would always be about the bands there as much as the campsite and banter is fun....so is £11/12 a night with mates away on a camping trip. But if I have some bands I'd genuinely like there then I would much prefer there to be more so I can make the best of it.

Doesn't even have to be pints; in 2023 when it was 36degrees practically all weekend and there was no where to hide, who could resist multiple £3 cans of Liquid Death in between bands?

That's exactly it and people do. You go to a festival or a day of band even starting early evening and you're bound to have a couple maybe driving dependent. As a festival unless it's a day you are parked up for 3-5 days so it doesn't matter and that's where the event cashes in and makes it up from the bands. It's never ever been as simple as I paid £85 for a headliner at the 02 that are included with a day of bands costing £125.  The whole thing all round is different. Take for example a European festival, I know it's going to cost me more but that's to see the difference, compare the vibe and have the experience. I don't what I'm getting in England lol.

I think I bought two of them and got lucky with the water queues at the right time before and after the likes of bad religion.

Cans are easier and cheaper to recycle and better for the environment

Haha let's not put Download into the conversation of a festival that do their best and care for the environment lol. They can't look at the weather in advance and get the site ready on time when it's rained for 6 months previously haha. They are sacks of sh*t for caring about the world.

My point had nothing to do with Download, I was just explaining why companies put water into a can rather than a bottle
