Convenience. Being separated from the plebs just gives people an easy feeling. My girlfriend sorta felt the same way. She had camped plenty at festivals so that wasnt the tough thing. It was just having somewhere quiet to be and shower access plus an extra layer of safety. It was worth it 5 years ago when I got WV for 300 on a 2 person scout. Now it being 50% more expensive makes it tougher. I mean they have to make their money one way or another but I wonder whats gonna happen when its 600 for the weekend just for the basic tent and nothing more is being offered. Are they just trying to stay semi competitive with the outside glamping sites or is it just that expensive to operate now. Right now at Coachella they offered a new pre pitched camping option. Its $650 usd and you get a 3m x 5m pitch. The tent is 3x3m and it includes 2 air mattresses , 2 sleeping bags, 2 pillows and a battery operated lantern. All of it is custom and is yours to take home as a souvenir afterwards. Parking pass is also included in the price. The area its located in also has separate showers. It sold out in pre sale. There was also a new car camping option that allowed you to have access to an electrical outlet on your pitch and that sold out in an instant.
I def would do WV again but I am alone this time so its likely leaning to camping normally. Ill just have to lock up some more of my stuff but thats not the worst thing.
Lost Fred Again and Sam Fender just to make sure the oldies have Stevie and it looks like a classic glasto lineup. Such hard pivots cause the internet is fighting so much lol.
I still like the best logic is that if somebody isnt showing any signs of activity that they are seemingly just not possible at all. Cause the festival just stinks at trying to keep things under wraps that you know 90% of the lineup before its announced cause they have to give you obvious signs. Whatever happened to being surprised.
Love him, but selfishly pleased Fender is looking less likely as already have him in the diary at St James Park.
Unless he really fumbles this upcoming album I still think he’ll get his shot to headline eventually though. He was too well received on the pyramid not to. I’d pencil him in for Friday 2027.
