You would think so, I'd expect one but it's probably worth remembering if I'm right here that the dance acts did better on Chevron that the main stage headliners themselves that were rockier?, and the festival with think about that. There is no doubt that Reading this year on the whole with the headliners like a great booking that was 10 years late lol.

You've even got the option of Creamfields taking them and them maybe playing Victorious too. C&S hardly ever play live at Cream, usually a dj set so if they got them in a prominent slot slot it would be major for them.

While Creamfields aren't afraid of a repeat booking one bit, C&S did do a live set there this year.

I think a repeat for a live act seems fairly unlikely. Could definitely do both tbh

They would he stupid not to, given this was a record year and it had LG, Blink, Lana, Catfish and Gerry Cinnemmon

Yeah so I don’t think they’ll get anyone as big as LG so let’s say Post Malone in his place. Foos or Linkin Park will be this years Blink. Chappell Roan will be the Lana. Kasabian instead of Catfish. Then the last few between Central Cee, BMTH, Charli XCX, Chase & Status and Hozier.

I didn't realise the Chevron stage was hosting smaller dance acts really last year. C&S definitely not making that step down to follow the footsteps of the high and mighty Sonny Fodera.

2024 > 25

Main Stage

Blink-182 ... Foo Fighters

Fred Again ... Chase & Status

Liam Gallagher ... Post Malone

Catfish Bottlemen ... Kasabian

Lana Del Rey ... Charli XCX

Gerry Cinnemon ... Tyler the Creator

Special Guest

21 Savage ... Chappel Roan

Radio 1

Jorja Smith ... Hozier

Wombats ... Kaiser Chiefs comeback tour

Beabadoobee ... Central Cee

There's no way Chappell Roan is doing a special guest slot or chevron

This is far too stacked. Hozier CR and Central Cee in these positions is just ridiculous

In this country, and amongst the demographics that attend Reading, 21 Savage is bigger, or at least the same size as Roan. In the UK, she hasn't had a single song get more than 100,000 combined streams/views/purchases. Neither her album.

Sure she might have a new album coming, but right now she has 2 songs that have made it into the UK. I can't imagine a single headliner having just 2 songs that your average vanilla crowd will sing along to, Halseys a flop in the UK and she had more substance when she headlined.

But then again, FR are the masters of giving us headliners that have achieved sweet-FA at the time, but kids look at the poster in 20 years and think "omg that lineup was insane as if they had all those" (I.e. 2018).

Has Hozier been big since Take me to Church? I know he was the soundtrack to Dark back in 2020, but didn't know he was still a thing.

Central Cee bigger than Jorja Smith you think? Sure he gets a crowd but his lice sets have been awful in recent years.

100% Chappell is bigger and will go down a storm. Stick your head in the sand all you want but she's not going away

If she had done this year she'd of had a early billie / dua mega crowd (as she has in america)

21 savage i didn't see (didn't go) but i assume he had a medium crowd at absolute best. Chappell would be full field.

and

100% Central Cee is getting a bigger slot

I don't think there is a suggestion they have LP

I was going to put Foo Fighters as a prediction but there's a misgiving on whether they're going to be on pause following Dave Grohl's misbehaviour. I know there's a rumour they're still in talks on touring next year anyway, but there's enough doubt to make me put LP instead for now.

Thinking about it, are Linkin Park rumoured for anything? If they're announced for Download next year then they'll be an absolute no for R&L.

They’re not at Download but are at a UK festival, apparently. I think it’ll be BST, personally.

Interesting choice.

Or maybe they could revive their 2008 festival thing at Milton Keynes Bowl. One I remember was a first concert for many people in my school year as a guy who grew up near there.
