Struggling for headliners but getting The Weeknd, arguably the biggest male artist in the world? He doesn’t need festivals. He’s like Taylor Swift.

He'd be a hell of a get but surely it would be more likely that if he is coming to the UK in 2025, it'll be for stadiums.

Jamie xx would be a massive Chevron booking - he's a fair bit bigger than the prodigy selling power wise these days

Given he has an APE (well Lido) day, are they likely to share with R&L?

Are you being serious on Jamie XX being bigger than the Prodigy....

Prodigy had more people watching them than Blink 182 at Leeds. Jamie would get a decent crowd though not sure he would do the same as Prodigy?

Genuine WTF moment for me too.

They're between the size of Barry Can't Swim and Four Tet.

Different crowd sure, but Progidy are something else in terms of pull. Prodigy pull a crowd that ranges from 15-50.

bro there is no way Jamie XX is bigger than prodigy

like Prodigy could headline most festivals in the UK excluding probably glasto (they would headline a different stage just not pyramid), there is literally no way Jamie XX is bigger

Same day as Sam Fender performing in Leeds on his new album tour.

Our big 3 are going to be

Sam Fender | Post Malone | Bring me the Horizon

Imagine if Eminem pulls it out of the bag and ends up headlining next year

This is the same person who has only just joined the forum and was claiming it was MCR (who are fully ruled out) and Robbie Williams. Not putting all my chips on this if I’m honest, we’re expecting the announcement around that time anyway.

As someone who has only just joined the forum as well (although have been lurking for a bit before making a post) I agree haha

You realise The Prodigy currently didn't headline Reading and wouldn't headline Download either as I presume if they'd been asked it would be this year coming at the very latest considering how long they've been going and that Download was their favourite UK festival. IOW benefits from being across the water and the fact they are headlining Kendal Calling tells you they absolutely are not thought of as major festival headliners now.

I said he has more selling power - i don't imagine he would beat prodigy at R&L.

I will take it back though - think i'm in the London bubble a bit. He's just done 2 sold out ally pally nights + doing a Lido day next year (and only recently did a APE day which sold pretty well).

I don't think Prodigy sell quite like that here - they just sold out two brixton nights within a few hours (not instant though).

Sam Fender is expected at Glasto - think this has gone into doubt a bit but seems unlikely to be back at R&L so soon.
