The ONLY person who said Foos were out also said Robbie Williams is headlining. And he said that he got the information from Melvin's dog. Another nobody with no info.

Foos were booked, but people questioned it after Dave got another woman pregnant, but that would have been factored into everything I'm certain. It wasn't news out of the void, the band would have dealt with this for 9 months+

exactly, i honestly think foos are still in major contention - the news isnt anything career ending, dont get me wrong its not a great look for Dave thats for sure, but i honestly dont think it would be a big issue.

lets say r&l announce foos, i doubt all the comments will be in uproar over it, i dont think people really care that much about it tbh

plus the guy who keeps claiming he knows inside knowledge is a waffler and needs to be ignored

I thought they said they wouldn't do R&L again or something similar after pulling out of the 21 festival. Or won't play UK shows...?

QOTSA, Foo Fighters, Post Malone would be a very good lineup for me, 3 id like to see.

QOTSA wouldn't play higher than second header. After being told that Hozier/Chappel Roan are a single slot co-head ...

Post Malone | Eminem | Foo Fighters

QOTSA | Central Cee | Chappel Roan &sp guest Hozier

Someone else quite reliable has heard Foos were out.

QOTSA and Foos would be a very nice 2000s throwback day, and I'm sure they're both still suitable for R&L

Foos have historically been allowed to curate their own day, too.

Foo Fighters, A Day to Remember, Frank Carter and the Rattlesnakes, The Distillers, Enter Shikari, Yungblud, Mayday Parade, SWMRS, Milk Teeth.

That was a right day until Lil Uzi Vert (who was originally on the lineup) pulled out and it messed with the running order. It left Enter Shikari’s two sets clashing with The Story So Far and A Day To Remember. I remember cursing the clashfinder when I saw that! The Story So Far were amazing in the tent though and I had a blast crowd surfing for half their set. ADTR were the worst I’ve ever seen them that day. They looked so uninterested.

I just kinda guessed a bill had been booked for them. Great day that but wet! Thought Foos were better in 2019 than 2012

If Chappell Roan does headline, would she be the first person on the “BBC Sound of” list to headline R&L?

Do you mean headline between being nominated and the winner? Either way, it seems winning that doesn't bode well for anybodies career at all.

2023 - Fred Again.. (2nd) > 24 headliner

2022 - Central Cee (5th) > 25 headliner

2021 - none

2020 - none

2019 - Lewis Capaldi, Sam Fender, Billie Eilish (nominated) > All 23 headliners

2018 - none

2017 - Davie (nominated) > 22 headliner

2016 - Dua Lipa (nominated) > Glasto 24

2015 - Stormzy (3rd) > 20 headliner

So it seems that the next headliners come around 4/5 years after appearing but not winning sounds of.

Looking at the list of winners and not one of those acts went anywhere.

Haim headlined R1 stage and has 1 song people know they did but barely remembers the tune.

Sam Smith just can't seem to catch a break no matter how culturally relevant he tries to play.

Years and Years last headline performance was Solihull festival where they went alongside an ABBA tribute band.

Jack Garratt 2 albums did nothing, singles never sold. Vanished.

Ray Blk, debut album, not a single song charted at all. Never heard again.

Sigrid had a good start, but since 2019 every song and album has had worse and worse and worse performances.

Octavian, first album hit 98 in the album chart. Second album didn't chart. 3 singles and 1 peaked at 37. Vanished.

Celeste, album hit number 1 but didn't make Platinum. Only 3 singles even charted at the giddying height of 47.

Pa Saliu, Florence, Last Dinner Party, Pinkpantheress it's early in their career to see if they've had the death knell curse hit them.

Sold out the O2 when I saw them there 3 years ago and drew a big crowd at Glastonbury that summer, so a lot of people are still on board. Maybe not quite bona fide festival headliners, but it's not like their tours are playing to a half-empty Kentish Town Forum.

I meant more, headlining they year they were nominated but that’s interesting none the less!

Massive in America, don’t seem to have same level of success here but definitely critically acclaimed and sells out big shows.

They've got that country girl vibe that resonates with US audiences which doesn't seem to translate well to British culture. In this country Taylor Swift had taken and polarised that entire market.

Do you have any other names? Would love for the lineup to be out Monday

Haven't heard any other names. I'm not 100% on Monday, but I've had this info from 2 sources so I'm reasonably confident in it.

Honestly I don't think there's any clear headliners this year to be speculated on. Travis is the only one I'd put any money on.
