Honestly I don't think there's any clear headliners this year to be speculated on. Travis is the only one I'd put any money on.

This is what makes me semi worried about this year, we are (likely) just a few days/weeks away from lineup and we dont have any solid info as to who are 6 are. Could mean its strong but being kept under wraps but I'm fearing for the worst based on Szigets struggles

They've got that country girl vibe that resonates with US audiences which doesn't seem to translate well to British culture. In this country Taylor Swift had taken and polarised that entire market.

I will note when I saw Haim at London O2 that they brought out Swift for a song and the reception she got was one of the noisiest things I've heard at a gig for a long time.

I can’t for the life of me work out what Maccies meal is in reference to and it’s driving me up the wall even if I don’t believe it for a second.

Travis Scott had a McDonalds meal, I believe.

Probably an unpopular opinion, is Post Malone REALLY head headliner anymore?

1 huge album, no albums since then have achieved anything. Would he headline on old reputation alone, or would he drop as the population just isnt buying into whatever hes about now.

Sam Fender | Eminem | Travis Scott

Chappel Roan & Hozier | Central Cee | Post Malone

That will go down like a lead balloon for all the oldschool fans that were won back with Blink, Prodigy, Liam, Lana

Yeah, he’s still a headliner. Still massive in the mainstream and has been all over radio this year with his crap country material and still did 100k ish tickets on his arena tour last year.

I really don’t think Lana Del Rey appealed to any ‘oldschool fans’.

I don’t have much confidence in it either, was pinning my hopes on Foos, BMTH and Chappell. Of all the sensible predictions they’d be the only three I’d watch.

Think RedJosh also said Foos were out a little while back, may be wrong on that but there’s been no solid info on anyone.

Lana pulled in everyone but the old school fans from what I saw. There were so many people who were clearly there only to see her.

Busiest day by far and it quietened down massively when she finished. Also the most women I’ve ever seen in a festival crowd. Loads of people clearly made the day trip just for her and her only.

Nah, his show will be nuts. If Foos have dropped out and they’ve got Travis instead, it’s a massive booking and will go down better anyway.

Nah they can piss of with Travis after his scandal. It's not that massive a booking, he hasn't even been given the headline booking at Coachella, his home country over Post Malone.

Personally Fender again, Eminem and Travis. With Hozier, Chappell and Central Cee would be a tragic top 6.

But the. I'm not 18 anymore I guess.

I'm 20, so realistically should be the target audience, and that does nothing for me at all. Chappell would be the only one to really excite me. Would probably sell well though

He sold out a massive stadium here this summer in quick time. It is a massive booking. His booking at Coachella has no bearing. He is closing the night out that he is playing though so he is essentially a headliner with his own line to himself on the poster. I can’t think of many acts who will go down better with the core R&L crowd. He’s massive with young’uns. They will implode during Fein.

Massive in America, don’t seem to have same level of success here but definitely critically acclaimed and sells out big shows.

Theyre not that big in America, probably bigger in the UK if anything, they played midsized venues on their last US tour 7-10k or so

When we talk about 'Industry Plant', Post Malone is the perfect candidate. In early 2015, he was doing the American talk show circuit. I saw him on Jimmy Kimmel around April to talk about his new single, his FIRST single, which came out 4 months later, he'd never released anything prior to that.

And now, look at how his albums drooped off (Sales UK & US combined):

2016: White Iverson -- 600,000 copies

2018: Beerbongs & Bentleys -- 1,100,000 copies

2019: Hollywood's Bleeding -- 1,200,000 copies

2022: Twenty Carat Toothache 150,000 copies

2023: Austin -- 90,000 copies

2024: F1 Trillion -- 140,000 copies

Re. Lana - I may have used the wrong term, not older crowd, but OG music enjoyers, not the kids that turn up to drink in tents on a lads holiday and smash things
