Andre91
Didn’t Chadderz say he had info a year or two ago and it turned out to not be what he said?

NorthernSoul52
I mean, half the info I've got over the years has been right and another half has been wrong. Don't really share it anymore because I can't quite be bothered sticking my head up. In this instance this year, I have heard bugger all about R+L, to stress. gfa
Ice Spice is well past it nowadays for special guest slot. Even this year would have been a push honestly Kasabian being at truck has got to rule them out i reckon

I’m sure we suggest them every year as the banker indie second headliner regardless!
CG31
Think this might be the first year since 2015 I don’t go at all if that’s the lineup. bound to be some summer gigs I could do instead (Macabees looks very tempting). I’m hoping it’s an off year, as it seems to be all round (Truck looks weak that’s it idk what I’m on about) but just a bit bland if the 8 or 9 names I’ve seen touted are the headliners

NorthernSoul52
The two of them appear to be the most popular combo option on here.

I expected her in 2023 when she actually had some buzz around her. I’ve just looked on Spotify and she has 15m monthly listeners. I’m certain she used to have about 35-40m. Post Malone / Hozier Eminem / Central Cee BMTH / Chappell Roan Friday is the most boring day imaginable. Saturday isn’t much better (although I understand if people are seeing Eminem for the first time, it’d be exciting). Sunday would be a big ol’ party with both headline sets being massive spectacles. Works in the music journalism industry in between his actual job reporting on the boxing. Out in Doha and spoke to an act that is booked who he knows and is also out there to watch whatever is happening there. He said he doesnt want to spoil it and reveal who is on the lineup because I cant keep a secret.

Jan 2018 I said Foo Fighters had just been booked, I didnt understand that acts are booked well in advance. I claimed it was for 2018, instead we got Kings of Leon. Foos came in 2019. If Soft Play can come out to We Like To Party again it would start a fantastic run.
ThatMuseKid
14 hours ago, Chad888 said: You've got Kasabian, Courteeners, Royal Blood, Strokes, Muse, Franz Ferdinand, 21 Pilots, Sam Fender. Sam Fender is probably the best shout for an indie headliner in a year he tours a new album, and they struggle with bookings. Post Malone is probably the most likely rap headliner, still draws a huge crowd based on his earlier hits and had headlined twice already. Foo Fighters is still the most likely for a rock headliner, it's random people on a forum saying they're dropping out. Please let it be Muse. It would be nice to see them headline Reading / Leeds for the 4th time. Rumour is they could also headline Glasto which would also be their 4th time. I think R&L is probably their best bet for a UK festival in 2025, but I wouldn’t be shocked if they just did their own shows instead. I think they are quite hard to place at the moment given they’re between albums.

I think that will be one of those bookings you look back on and think how on earth did they get her to agree to that. I didn’t see her but heard others say she got probably the biggest crowd any MSW headliner got

The fact they both did 1hr 15 that day and the other days the top headliner was long very much days she was the co-headliner out of any of the second downs for sure. She also got top of poster booking unlike gerry and Catfish.
