Just saw Charli XCX at Manchester and yeah R&L need to do a bit and get here in for a headline slot no matter the cost....

Its not happening next year - there's no way they share with Lido and Parklife

In terms of the current "it girl" quartet:

+ Charli XCX to top LIDO and Parklife, sub Glastonbury.
+ Chappell Roan to co-headline Reading and Leeds.
+ Olivia Rodrigo to top Glastonbury and BST Hyde Park.
+ Sabrina Carpenter to top BST Hyde Park.

Seems to be my current thinking.

Sabrina will definitely have something else

You have to say it adds weight to the idea that they’ve got Chappell Roan instead. They wouldn’t book them both.

I do think it lends credibility to Chappell Roan being there, but I don't see why they wouldn't get both. That would be a big win for the festival

I think they have dropped the ball big time not getting her before Lido and Parklife did btw

She suits Lido and Parklife much better tbf - more dancy festivals.

I do agree though

No reason they wouldn't get both - Primavera did (and Sabrina Carpenter as well!)

Primavera have nailed it in terms of current popularity but it’s heavily weighted to one type of act and one audience demographic. R&L caters to so many that it can’t go down that road, or at least not yet!

Suppose though there’d be no harm in going:

BMTH > Chappell Roan

Sam Fender > Charli xcx

Eminem > some indie band

A handful of those were given by KSI in the 2nd degree. I actually think you know.

If the Friday headliner is some legacy rock band like Muse then I think it’s a relatively nice mix. Sunday is looking rather sparse for me though.

Muse is the only headline worthy legacy rock band that I can think of that are active/available next summer, I imagine if the festival have got them, they're locked in as a UK exclusive as they haven't been announced for anything else here.

I imagine they would've wanted Green Day but obviously Download got them

Just got home from seeing Enter Shikari for the 18/19th time and they are the best live band in the world and I’m certain they will be at R&L this year. The dream is they headline Chevron but I know they aren’t big and popular enough for that, so I think third/fourth down main or headlining R1 is more likely for them.

Bring Me The Horizon

Chappell Roan

Lil Uzi Vert (special guest)

Enter Shikari

Ashnikko

Soft Play

Nova Twins

Kid Kapichi

High Vis

If Shikari could headline the chevron it’d be unreal, they were born for a stage like that. Also this day would be an all timer.
