Yeah it seems like he knows what he’s talking about, No rock or indie headliner is crazy. I guess one was a late replacement for Foos though.

So Hozier as a sub to Chappell makes the most sense otherwise he’s going to have a very different audience to what he’s used to.

Right now the most reliable source is we have is @roughbloke saying Eminem, Travis, Chappell (i dont know if thats the right order) but we dont know if thats all they know or if its reverting back to 3 headliners.

Hozier into Chapell into Foos. If Foos have dropped out though, this early in the day id have thought they would replace rather than shift everyone up.

Is it for good? My take was it was more of a hiatus whilst Frank does his thing with the Sex Pistols. Gutting if so; I only managed to see them once at Leeds Festival in 2022 and they were decent. Wanted to see them at their own show ideally but never got round to it unfortunately. Suppose that’s my fault more than anything haha

Good point, the statement does say hiatus but every other word in it reads like it’s for good. Think it’ll be a couple of years at least but they’ll be back.

Think something like this wouldn't be too unrealistic but if we are losing the 6 headliners it does feel weak. I hope they make up for it by bringing back the pit, 1xtra stage or something.

They're not going back to '3' headliners ... even though that's what it was last year, with Gerry, Catfish, Lana glorified subs, they are still marketing it as 6 headliners (was meant to be 7).

 

Central Cee and Chappel Roan were definitely "subs". Hozier was 3rd below Chappel as a "co-headline". Seems they've been bumped up together.

6 'headliners' like last year.

 

Last year was really 3 headliners, with Gerry Catfish and Lana 2nd down but marketed as headliners.

 

In the same way past years we're marketed as co-headliners, but one was actually headlining last and the other playing before. It was billed as 2 heads and a coheadliner, really was 3 and a glorified sub.

 

This year was to be marketed as 7 headliners. In reality it was 3, but Hozier and Chappel were being marketed as co-headliners (really playing 2nd and 3rd).

Sounds like Chappel has been bumped up because there is literally noone available this year, it's a dodgy year where everyone's either resting off the back of a tour, or doing their own bigger stuff.

 

Like is said I'd have thought at this point they'd get a replacement, like imagine RATM dropping out and they just bumped up Halsey to headliner.
