It is just really bland. 24 you had top quality artists from across rock, indie, hip hop, dance, a few punk or metal bands here and there. This seems to be lacking in all of those areas

He is massively popular, been on tour pretty consistently for the last couple years and consistently performed at big venues 

he also is great live and the masses will probably know at least 3 of his songs - whether that’s enough for headliner status in a 4-headliner format is another matter

I reckon they spunked most of the budget on Travis Scott. Can’t imagine BMTH and Hozier being very expensive.

Travis Scott and Chappell Roan are two of the biggest and most in demand music stars in the world at the moment. It terms of size it hink its ok BUT it is a bit boring. Hozier is a wild shout tbh

I’m happy but it does feel like they’ve spent all their money on Travis. But I said I’d get a ticket if Chappell is there so catch me in the pit for Fein (unless Bloc Party are on at the same time).

Absolute desperation with that one, esp if he’s been touring loads otherwise

 

Scott and Roan will shift a load of tickets I suspect but those going for a “Festival” as opposed to a headline gig in a park, won’t be queuing to attend

Yeah blowing all the cash on Travis is a bit mad to me. They could have had two headliners for that price. Although for me the weak links are BMTH and Hozier. I like Travis and would be watching him if I were to go

Hozier is the biggest damp squib booking they’ve made since Lewis Capaldi was supposed to headline. Who cares? He has one song that came out a decade ago.

They are booking him on the basis he had a minor resurgence last year and is now a two hit wonder rather than a one hit wonder. Really mental booking that. Should not be a headliner

Capaldi and bangers don’t belong in the same sentence. He’s got singalong and cry to yourself songs.

To be fair to Hozier, he did sell out Finsbury park this year. So clearly some tickets there. Despite been as tragic a booking as it is.

100% agreed on this. Massive difference shifting tickets for gigs in major cities than a wet and windy field in Yorkshire for the weekend with no showers and Portaloos! 

 

I have loads of friends who are into live music and would not dream of going to a music festival.

 

As for number of streams, we have seen that put to bed many many times with small crowds watching internet sensations. 

 

This line up will sell badly, no doubt about that.
