Do we think Sammy will up against Travis as Chevron headliner or is there someone still to come? Part of me is really hoping someone like Justice gets added on that day.

hard to tell, we are certainly still due an extra 'sub headliner' name if thats what you can call it currently on that day

my view, sammy will be the chevron headliner and we then get a don toliver type rap act or modern tiktok hype rapper shite

21 Pilots-ish ... lead singer tried to crowd surf, was instead stripped and robbed.

Great historical knowledge 🙂 did they leave his underpants on? But take his wallet? An mic? What happened to 21 Pilots? BMTH as headliner is a bit of a sad look for the once mighty R & L

It’s just a case that music tastes have changed in the last 20 years and they are booking different acts to reflect that. All I can say is I’m thankful I was in my late teens/early 20s in the late 90s/early 00!

At the end of the day, I guess this is it. A teenager today is exposed to a very different musical environment to what I would have had in the late 00s/early 10s, although even then, I suspect that late 90s/early 00s was less radical a change to the period I suggested compared to what it's like now.

Yeah, it's just growing with its audience, really.

I think there was probably more of a cultural shift and certainly huge chasm in how music was consumed/ enjoyed between 2018 or so and 2021 than the prior 30 years.

The main thing that has impacted the festival lineups though is the massive competition in the UK. Parklife, Truck, Victorious, Trees, Slam Dunk have all risen and take acts that otherwise would be available for Reading to bill.

it’s certainly the main reason they can only schedule 50% the number of acts they used to

I've just bought Friday tickets for Reading.

Will there be a problem if I buy a weekend camper ticket?

Worried that we might not be able to access the CV area with day tickets.

Any advice please?

We were in the van field at Leeds this year and had our mates come to the van for pre drinks in the day. Might be different at Reading but at Leeds access to the van field is via the quiet/eco camp for which you needed a one of the quiet/eco wristbands. We didn’t know and blagged it with the campsite security in the end but they’ll definitely have someone on the van field gate checking your wristband. I’ve got a free quiet/eco ticket add on for next year to be safe. They gave the same wristbands to the people turning up inside the vans.

Hope they throw in some of the older classics, bring someone like Alex from Malevolence out for Diamonds again.

I doubt it. I think the oldest we will get is Sempiternal material, maybe one song prior to that. Which is fair, people at R&L won’t be there to see that anyway.

Got my tickets! Exciting times. Haven’t listened to Bmth since Sempiternal so very out of the loop, assume I should just familiarise myself with Next Gen.

I know the lineup isn’t everyone’s cup of tea but as someone who was feeling like they’d seen the same headliners all the time, I’m excited by the prospect of 4 headliners I’ve never seen before.

Or the other way to look at it is one of the headliners played 3 years ago alongside the Arctic Monkeys...

I agree though in the main, I like to see new blood at the top or at least not some of the quick recycling we've had in the past, given Scott last played 5-6 years back

No days have flown out (i only checked reading, will assume leeds hasn't!)

Seems day tickets are staying at £125 rather than tiered this year

They didn't tier for a fair old while last year, even for the Del Rey day.

Obv no instant sell outs though. How long did it take Scott to sell is stadium gig last summer?
