London Grammer will go down like a sack of bricks at boardmasters

Bit weird you expect Raye to only do day fests and not weekenders lol

It's more that I think she is someone, who if your a fan you would want to listen to properly. To me she seems like an act that those who are not fans would just talk through.

I am sure at the likes of Glastonbury with a real moxed crowd she would go down well, she does not scream Boardmasters at me. (Although, I have never been to Boardmasters and so could be completly wrong about the audeince I think they get).

think she'll go down better than jorja smith tbh, got quite a few recognisable songs and a good show. is an interesting pick, but can't really say am surprised with it

Yeah, I bet she put's on a decent show. Wish I went to see her the other year when she played Victorious. I can't remember who I saw instead, which kinda shows how her star has risen as I remember not seeing her more then who I went to watch.

She fits in well for boardmasters, because it's along the same lines as the Lorde booking (which although got a lot of hate via social media, went down well in person).

However, I still feel like her headlining is a bit of stretch.

She doesn't play most of them, aside from jazz versions of Prada & You Don't Know Me.

Escapism, Worth It & Oscar Winning Tears are probably the only other recognisable songs she does, aside from that it's album tracks.

Let's be honest, Raye hasn't done or released anything since before she played 7th down Glastonbury pyramid stage, just above Rick Astley.

Lorde at least played second down Pyramid stage in 22, same as Sam Fender and just before Kendrick Lamar. Stormzy, Florence both topped the bill at Glastonbury. Liam Gallagher played second down pyramid, and has topped Reading and Leeds before headlining Boardies, same as Stormzy and Sam Fender again. Foals topped R&L and the Glastonury other stage and second on Pyramid.

Raye is a downgrade on those given she's released nothing and hasn't got anything in the works.

You can only assume they've spent big on the 3rd headliner, but you lead a marketing campaign with your big name I'd have thought....maybe waiting till 10th ticket release and it's more expensive.

Raye & London Grammar are good names but Raye as a headline booking is very questionable.. makes you think they couldn't find anything else.. She is a great singer but it is a bit of a jump as a headliner.

The line up is very weak and that makes me worry for Victorious now..

Its really not a jump, she's headlining an APE day, has sold out the o2 in a few hours and also headlined bbc r1 big weekend

Obviously not the biggest headliner but she's clearly popular

Raye is no weaker than Jorja Smith

Just last year, Raye played 3rd down at Boardmasters.

After releasing nothing, and with nothing coming up, she is now headliner.

Jorja Smith though was during the era where the festival was attracting the smaller headliners. They were having acts headline like Two Door Cinema Club, Skepta, Catfish and the Bottles, Alt-Jay, James Bay.

Jumping to Stormzy, Sam Fender, Kings of Leon, Disclosure, Florence & the Machine, Liam Gallagher, Lorde, and then going to Prodigy and Raye seems very 2 steps forward, 1 step back.

I'm a little disheartened, I'd booked childcare for the long weekend and was signed up for early release tickets. Now I'm thinking for an extra hundred each, I can go to Reading and I just need to wait to see if Eminem, Travis Scott, Post Malone etc get booked.
