Acid_Haze
Going back and listening to some albums i've missed over the year and the new Los Campesiños one is sick! I like the down to earth and witty vocals, and the sing along quality of the songs. It's very emotive and resonates a lot with the times we're living in, nice to hear these guys coming back with something so great, possibly as good as they were in their prime, just in a different way.
Acid_Haze
Another great album I missed last month was the newest one from Haley Heynderickx. Would recommend for fans of folk, early Bon Iver and First Aid Kit. It's earthy, intimate music with gorgeous arrangements and the songs themselves really hold their own, melodic content is brilliant and the lyrics are interesting too. She's got quite a unique sound and personality too. Love it.

Yes agreed - She must be on the list of future headliners, Especially if she keeps up the quality she is putting out
Acid_Haze
2 albums from 2024 that i've gone back to this week: Thou - Umbilical Probably the heaviest album i've listened to in a while. Very intense but surprisingly catchy and enjoyable listen - blows you away a bit. For people who like veeery heavy metal. Kim Deal - Nobody Loves You More Nice pleasing listen, very airy and interesting. It's a good evolution for Kim Deal's sound from The Pixies and Breeders. Interesting to hear a less guitary sound and more orchestration
Acid_Haze
Another 2 albums from 2024 i've been listening to this week, been in a bit of a heavy mood. Winter seems to be the season for this kind of music! Touché Amoré - Spiral in a Straight Line Hardcore music that packs an emotional punch. Osees - Sorcs 80 Introducing a synth into the mix wasn't a bad idea. Great new wave, talking heads/devo energy on this new album.
Acid_Haze
Another great album i've been going back to from last year is the new Rachel Chinouriri one. She's done well to make such bright catchy music with real emotional depth too. Takes me back to her set on Sunday morning on the Other stage, made me tear up a bit when she talked about her song "Robbed". She definitely deserves to get bigger and bigger

Punksnotdead
Only got round to listening to it today but the latest Los Campesinos album is bloody fantastic! Maybe my favourite band that I've never seen live. Might have to try to rectify that this year, if they're touring.

Not sure you’ll get a full UK tour.
Punksnotdead
Yeah I've seen them. Not sure I can make those dates. Hoping they might announce some more gigs for later in the year.
Acid_Haze
Another album from last year that's totally underrated is actually the newest one from Elbow. They have had such a consistently solid output since 2008 really, there's some well-made songs on this one. Beautiful arrangements, smooth vocals, with groovy riffs. Really enjoyable.
