Yeah he was the voice of Maiden for me. Running Free was first single I ever bought. Just put it on and shook my head a little bit in respect.

Sad news, one of the first albums I ever bought was in the court of the crimson king, saw them live in the early days.

Sinfields lyrics were tremendous.

 

incidentally he also wrote the lyrics for Bucks Fizz, land of make believe.!
