I saw a rumour that they would be playing posted to Reddit

There’s also been a self confirm that Shenseea who had a song with them out recently “has been asked to be there” could this be as a guest appearance for The Chainsmokers?

they've previously mentioned wanting to play Glastonbury in interviews so it seems like this may be the year. 
 

usually just lurk on here but haven’t seen anyone put together the facts for this yet.

Now that's a thought. Something Just Like This was a big hit, even if the current form in Coldplay's live show is a bit of a switch, from what I understand.

How big are The Chainsmokers these days? I can never tell the pull of DJ-dance acts as well as others.

Think it could still work quite easily, as iirc from when I saw them (Coldplay) recently in Cardiff, Chris was just doing the song in sign language - but if they did, reckon he'd just sign with them pretending to do stuff on the decks behind him, or something along those lines.

They could. But so could Eric Prydz, Swedish House Mafia, Armin van Buuren, Tiesto, Calvin Harris and all the other stadium EDM acts. Doesn't mean they fit the profile of the festival. Or, more likely, the budget.

Yep, this is it. They’re big enough but fall in the bracket of pricey EDM garbage that Glastonbury tends not to bother with. If they’re there (which I doubt, cause that reddit post wasn’t at all convincing) then Arcadia DJ set seems the best bet for them.

Skrillex is in Europe over Glastonbury weekend. Personally, I can't see what the fuss is all about. With these three, I think the parts are greater than the sum. Each far more interesting in their own right

Hmmm do you think? I tend to think put them together and they produce something very entertaining indeed. Some mod the best DJ sets I have seen. I enjoy watching chemistry on stage and these 3 have test tubes of it.

Eric Prydz I disagree with, he isn't the seller the others are and if we're talking stadiums acts then Calvin possibly but and SHM are the only one's.

The Chainsmokers are not beyond that spot. Remember that Glastonbury isn't directly catered to that music whereas if you are going to say Creamfields you are going solely for that.

Armin has never sold his Wembley Area dates put massively quick when he's done them and the first outdoor festival for ASOT he put on this year was not hard to grab a ticket for at something like 20k.
