anditmakesmesmile
One thing I’ve noticed as I’ve got older is that I have to work a little bit harder to hear new music. Glastonbury helps, obviously - and I put the research in for the month before. But I was wondering if there are any good websites, blogs or podcasts that people listen to to keep themselves in the zeitgeist.
1986
Instagram can be good for this sort of thing sometimes. Takes a bit of playing the algorithm but if you browse certain tags etc you can find some voices and opinions you like that can recommend good things. The app will then straight up target you with band accounts to the point you actually get sick of getting new recs. Website wise Pitchfork are pretty prolific in reviewing albums from bands and artists from quite a wide spectrum. I listen to Radio 6 getting ready for work in the morning who are good for keeping up to date with which indie/alternative stuff is big at the moment, while also being pretty eclectic and fun overall. Like you say yourself festival line ups are full of names to take a punt on. These all might be basic bitch answers to a lot of the musos on here but its a start 🙂

Pick a song from each band and you’ll find a few gems
