Come on you don't really believe that codswallop, you're just being provocative.

You know as well as any of us there have always been active sections of young folks - campaigning about green issues, nuclear power, peace, women's issues, racism, etc

But many folks have become disenchanted by FPTP and not feeling their vote made a difference or their representatives cared about the same issues as them.

that was  a party political broadcast by the lib dems!

You don't fly, we get that....... but you forget that flying accounts for slightly less than 2.5% of CO2 whereas beef production accounts for almost 20% yet you never mention that.

Most young people don't fly anyway - cos they cannot afford it but don't let that stop you having a pop at an entire generation with sweeping statements of 'fact'.

Did you get out in Bristol before the pandemic when the youth were on 'school strikes' and had a big march and gathering? They seemed very interested in changing things and certainly cared a lot.................... or are you one of those who moaned that they trampled the grass (which grew back)?

oh yes i know greta came to town, and i know that bristol airport wants more flights, and that not because the oldies are dying off. 😛

Why do feel the need to use what someone looks like against them?

why do you feel me making light of his youthful appearance is such a major slight?

Using any part of what someone looks like is wrong. People look like they do and it is irrelevant.

It is a rather right of centre thing to do using appearance to try and make your view points stronger.

No need for it but I doubt you will get that cos you are too busty ignoring huge parts of other posts to try and be the big man on climate change - wow, you don't fly we are all saved.

As much as I admire you not flying throwing it in the face of anyone else is not big and not clever - perhaps try and realise that not everyone in all generations is awful - some are, some are not. Sweeping statements just show a lack of debating ability.

Anyway, back on ignore you go as talking to you does become time consuming and utterly pointless and it will just be a matter of time before the personal insults fly.

Have a rest, smile and realise that most people of all ages want the same things in life.

Be kind.

So, ceasefire by Thursday then. That's a relief.

yeah, definitely cos the snp have got integrity stitched up?

where's the missing £300k?

and why the motorhome?

and where's the missing whatapp msg's?

as the snp govern Scotland like a tory but with greater spending cuts, and a bigger desire to reward big carbon, and to burn all the oil.

"Between 2015 and 2017 the Conservative party increased its share of the vote by about five percentage points, adding a further point in 2019. In the graph below we can see that the bulk of that extra support in 2017 was from the two oldest age groups, who maintained their support in 2019."

Its wasn't the dying off oldies who gave them those extra votes, must have been a growing part of the population. No idea who that could be? Perhaps the generation who celebrates their easier  ability to wreck the planet as a good thing.

The Labour amendment is political too.................... they are all as sh*t as each other on this bar the SNP whose stance has remained the same from day 1

not arguing it isn't...but Labour and I expect Tories do not want to make it a Israel unilateral ceasefire but put some conditions on Hamas too...although SNP do say that Hamas need to release hostages...so they're all kind of saying the same thing, so ffs just agree on an amendment and get it through.

Whole thing is academic when you see the conditions Israel and Hamas have put on any ceasefire/truce happening...but I expect some people behind the scenes are trying to negotiate something and don't actually give a flying f**k what is happening in westminster.

image.png.046d498a9bf9c1c7f94f332748c7c138.pngIt is quite mad for anyone to fixate on one, small, part of the whole picture that makes up less than 2.5% whilst seeming to ignore some of the worst contributors all together.

I know this should be on the Climate Change thread but it is relevant to recent posts.

but what is that per head?

I've just remembered I was wrong the youth do care that rhe libdems are lying arses, they went and voted Tory to protest about that.

Your version only works in a world with active resurrections and a disappearing yout.

The wording is important in one respect. SNP know they will have no seat at the negotiating table in this, so can effectively say what they want. PM Starmer may have a small amount of influence, so I understand his caution.

yes ok, but maybe he should have called for this immediate humanitarian ceasefire back in November.
