I mean, it was 3 parties that hated each other. The bigger surprise would've been if they made it to planned elections in September next year. Although they seem to be taking their time on next steps given plan is a confidence vote in January and likely March elections, which will put on current polls likely put Merkel's old party back in power.

 

Certainly more drawn out than Ireland, who are set to call snap elections to be held even before the end of the month.
