This is shaping up to be one of the best line ups for the summer (to my taste).

It's really expensive but then again it covers almost everything i really wanted to see this summer (idles, pulp, slowdive, yard act, the national, alvvays and much more).

Anyone who went to the festival. Looking for any useful tips since it's my first time going there.

ONS 7. AUG: Pulp (UK) / PJ Harvey (UK) / Cezinando / The Kills (UK) / Yoguttene / Nia Archives (UK) / SHERELLE (UK) / Bala Desejo (BR) / Nabihah Iqbal (UK) / Gjenfødt Kultur +++

TORS 8. AUG:  The National (US) / RAYE (UK) / André 3000 (US) / Slowdive (UK) / Overmono (UK) / Joy Orbison (UK) / Andreas Røysum Ensemble / Holly Humberstone (UK) / Alvvays (CA) / English Teacher (UK) / yunè pinku (IE/MY) +++

FRE 9. AUG:  Queens of the Stone Age (US) / The Smile (UK) / Astrid S / Arca (VE) / Loyle Carner (UK) / Big Thief (US) / Delara / Olof Dreijer (SE) & Diva Cruz (CO/SE) / Brutus (BE) / Kaja Gunnufsen / Wednesday (US) / Julie Christmas (US) +++

LØR 10. AUG: Gabrielle / Veronica Maggio (SE) / IDLES (UK) / Sivert Høyem / Sampha (UK) / Euroboys / Fay Wildhagen / Yard Act (UK) / Yussef Dayes (UK) / Skatebård / Yaya Bey (US) / Blondshell (US) +++

Ikke satt på dag: Oscar Blesson / Ella Marie (SÁ) / Hammok / Kristi Brud / Orions Belte / Sw*nk Mami

Some general tips:
- It's very easy to travel to the festival since it's very close to Tøyen and Carl Berner subway and in the middle of the city. So no need to live very close to the festival. Just live close to a subway station.
- Eat a good meal before going to the festival, since the festival can be kinda expensive, but very good.
- Remember to keep your glass after you're finished drinking, since it's will cose 20 NOK (around 2 euro) for a new glass. You will of course get a new glass when you delivering the old one. The glass is also nice to have if you want water. There is a lot of water station that's free and effective to use.
- If it's raining, it will get muddy. So have some good footwear for rain and poncho/rain jacket, since it's not allowed with umbrellas.
- The day before the festval (Tuesday), it's something that's called Klubbdagen. It's free for everyone with festival pass, and it's a lot of up and coming Norwegian acts that's playing venues around the city. The programme for that will come later.
- The festival is finished at 23:00 (Norwegian rules), but there something called Øyanatt. This is also different concerts around the city, but this one with bigger artists/band and international ones. Nothing has been announched yet, but will come later. There is enterance fee for this concerts, but with a discount for you with festival pass. Normall costs around 175 NOK - 300 NOK for a concert, that can have more than one artist.

Just ask if you have any questions! I live like a five minutes walk from the festival and been there a lot.

The official website already announced the days and stages for all announced artists, so i made an clashfinder (stage times are not official, of course).

Judging by last year's splits there's maybe two or three more name to be announced for the main stages and two more for klubben (possibly dj sets).

Honestly it's still a great line up but i was hoping for one or two more names from way out west's line up. Maybe Yves Tumor or Nation of Language. Hopefully there will be something nice for the night part of the festival. Also, hats off to WOW, for this price of tickets they curated the best line up i've seen for a long time (for my taste of course).

Two more months. Can't wait already.

The clashfinder is updated with the starting times of every artist since today the festival dropped them on the website.

As they've said one or two more artists to be confirmed + a smaller stage called library (though it looks from previous years it's mainly smaller local names on it).

A quick question to somebody who already went to this festival. Is there a closed stages (tents) on the festival since i'm looking at the map from last year and some stages looking too close to others. Also based on the clashes on the different stages.

And another one. How's the situation with bar and wc facilities. Is it getting too crowded at some points and is there enough of them actually. Since it's in it 25th year running i'm guessing they don't have such problems.

The only tent stage is «Sirkus».

Bar and WC is pretty good, not any crazy queues.

Any negatives to the festival to know about (other than the cost of Norway and early finish)?

Not really anything big other than two. The crowd can be a little bit dull compared to other crowds.

and are there ever cheaper second-hand tickets nearer the time? Thanks!

Nothing special. The festival is normally sold out when the festival starts. Could be somthing, but not very cheap.

I’ve seen that there is a prívate area in the park for Oya Pass ( last year called Ekstra) . I would appreciate any information about this area, and if it is worth buying this Oya pass.

It’s just a VIP area with some food stalls, own bar with more options that regular bars and toilets. Can’t view any concerts from there. It’s really just a place to mingle with people from the music industry. So for «normal» people it’s not worth it.

Thank you for the information. I also have the feeling that it’s too expensive for what it offers. 👍🏼

Well, they are looking for a replacement for The Smile. And if QOTSA also cancel it might get interesting.

Honestly, for me personally this is not that bad since i’m not a huge fan of both bands. So, this feels like i’m waiting for an unexpected new annoucement.

I’m guessing they are working with the other scandinavian festivals for the replacement. Were they quick the previous years with similar situation?

Ah yes, The Smile are definitely out in fact. I'd worry though that it's too late to get a big name.

Fontaines DC seems available...  I have tickets for Way Out West, flying there mainly to see The Smile, so really sad about this, but first of all let's hope Jonny recovers smoothly (and wouldn't mind if Fontaines would show up)
