Billie was meant to be last year and didn’t end up doing it plus there was a lack of headline acts about as shown even by Glastonbury who massively struggled.

now look at 2023 instead:

Mumfords, Stormzy and Fender

RHCP, Liam Gallagher and The Black Keys

Muse and Oscar and the Wolf

Arctic Monkeys and QOTSA

AM/QOTSA would still have been good to see as a duo tbf. But maybe that's an exception to the rule.

Didn't the Chili Peppers do back-to-back Werchters as well?

How would something like this go down or is in accurately strong?

Something like:

Green Day + Blink 182

FredAgain + Sam Fender

Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds + Bon Iver

Billie Eilish + Oscar and the Wolf

Fred and Fender plus Nick Cave and Bon Iver for me is terrible. That's me though, no interest in any of them.

Sir, thats a fairly realistic line up so I'd like to see what you can think of.

That’s the thing, it’s not what I want, just what I know is about and realistic (unless names come out of nowhere).

Due to Southside/Hurricane Green Day seem pretty certain to be at RW (well unless they announce other headliners which haven’t done it in a while).

FredAgain is rumoured for Glasto and I know RW love him and it makes sense for him to step up from the Barn.

Billie Eilish, they’ve wanted for ages and Ken confirmed that was the plan

the others… Blink is more hope for me, Nick Cave is about, Bon Iver is about and probably sub level, Oscar & the Wolf are meant to be playing oh and Sam
Fender is about too so will give a little more indie/guitar feel

There’s plenty more I’d like more, Eminem for instance if he’s about, Olivia Rodrigo is ridiculously fun, The Strokes, Fallout Boy or Twenty One Pilots are others that would make a change as I’ve not seen them before.

Musically they are immense, but vocals are washed out.

I have yet to see anything recently that doesn't sound like this... 37 mins for Stay together for the kids. and 48 mins for I miss you

Bon Iver as a sub will be like Khruangbin this year. If he comes, it needs to be as a barn head. Hopefully they can pull a rabbit out of their hat that hasn't been the plenty of times (Eminem, McCartney++) but with the laziness last years, I doubt it.

Nick Cave subbed by Bon Iver would be amazing for me.

There's nothing that tops a Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds show. Greatest performer alive for me, with only Springsteen being a the same height.

whatever festival I’m at I never mind not doing a headliner or 2 on the main stage as it gives you a chance to go to the smaller stages.  Maybe a Chali XCX headline set or something.

The live stuff I have heard from Blink recently has been terrible at best.

I thought they sounded great at Reading.  What have you seen?

I have to say I saw footage from Reading and thought both Tom and Mark sounded ropey, I meant Tom is of course going to sound ropey.

Pearl Jam are rumoured to do another short European leg.. Don't know but if they play Belgium it is almost Werchter every time. Last time Sportpaleis Antwerp was 20 years ago

Yeah I think you’re right.

Pearl Jam

Green Day

Billie Eilish

Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds

Would be a fairly strong 4 with some good subs/co-heads.

(although I do think FredAgain will be there)
