I think it's perhaps indicative how average festivals are next summer.

Take Stormzy and Roskilde, which is perhaps a more crazy choice than fender.

It's quite interesting more festivals are trying to get under 21's, with cheaper tickets.

Stormzy have quite the pull in Denmark. My wife (+30) and her friends are very much looking forward to it and also the young of course. His various festival appearances has been very succesfull.

AND I'm not even sure he will be the headliner headliner on his day. Could see him take the late night 01.00 slot at orange and still be called a headliner. The last two years first announcements have not been an outright headliner in the first announcement with Kali Uchi's set to play at 19.00 and Burna Boy (2023) set to play also the 01.00 slot.

I was just very pleased with Roskildes first announcement, so I'll reserve the batting of their Line-Up for later (it will definetely come if the last couple of year is anything to go by😅)

I'm liking the 1st announcement, it will be more than likely be my festival of choice next summer unless graspop pulls something nice out.

It’s billed as a UK exclusive, would be strange not to call it a Europe exclusive if he wasn’t playing elsewhere

He has announced that he won’t be playing many shows next year though so it is unlikely, Imagine maybe just a couple in the US and then a few elsewhere so probably very unlikely for here

Do we think Paramore have any chance of playing? they’re rumoured to have a slot at Glastonbury so will be this side of the pond around the same time as Werchter

No idea. I thought there was talk of them touring Europe in 2025 started by fans on their Reddit who apparently were told by Hayley they wanted to do a Euro tour in 2025 but hadn't heard of a tangible rumour of them turning up anywhere just yet.

Maybe Glastonbury was the Discord running wild as it has been a lot this week.

Currently debating whether to go to Rock Werchter or Sziget. What are some reasons I should come to rock Wertchter?

Two very, very different festivals.

Werchter usually has the strongest line up on the circuit and it’s the best ran festival I’ve ever been to. Organisation is immaculate, but the downside is that there is literally very little to do other than the music and the stages can get crowded.

Sziget on the other hand, you’ll maybe see 3 or 4 bands a day, only 2 major stages in terms of bands. But there’s just so much else to do, it’s the closest thing to Glastonbury I’ve been to and in a lot of cases it’s better. There’s a lot of genre specific areas, Coloseum is amazing for dance music, there’s a beach for relaxing. The year we went, we got a little passport as a guide for all of the things to do, not many festivals you can go from Post Malone, to Parcels, to a full circus.

I must admit I’ve never been to either since 2019, but two very different experiences and it totally depends on what you want/prefer.

Thank you for the info! I think if there isn’t much to do besides the music that may push me towards Sziget

Take a look at Lowlands, I don't think I've ever seen a festival with such diversity. They had infinite tents with niche themes (its been 5 years but im pretty sure there was stand up tent, a drug show tent, etc). Theres even a lake and a nude "beach" (with a view of the mainstage).

Personally I only attended the musical acts, their 2019 edition was exceptionally strong in line up terms. Usually they don't have the most appealing line up to my taste, but I figure anyone can fill up 3 adventures days there 🙂
