They've got to at least get a strong name before him, definitely the weakest option they've had to headline based on their market over the 3 years including this one coming.

Sam Fender & Paramore would be a good duo to help shift a few more tickets for the Saturday

prices are online now:

Festival tickets

Combi festival ticket (valid from 3 to 6 July): 312 euros

Day festival ticket Thursday 3 July: 137 euros

Day festival ticket Friday 4 July: 137 euros

Day festival ticket Saturday 5 July: 137 euros

Day festival ticket Sunday 6 July: 137 euros

Ticket prices include service costs, mobility and eco contribution. A maximum of 6 tickets can be purchased per order.

Not bad for a 4 day ticket, add camping for 350 euros. Not much increase from this year, it's pretty standard for a major festival nowadays.

Roskilde similar at 340 euros.

For us brits takes it down to under £300

For a full 4 day festival that’s a bargain.  Especially considering costs of Linkin Park tickets at the moment!!

Also if you're plan on skipping Linkin Park entirely?

I dunno, I'll wait until the lineup is much clearer before buying tickets.

Yes if you look at it like that and got the festival bug already.

The problem that festivals are finding is getting the newbies in for weekend tickets. More and more festivals are trying to get them in, with u21 tickets for example.

It's perhaps why they are moving to younger headliners to attract them. 350 + travel + spends, is a big outlay for teenagers.

Not saying it’ll work for everyone but for me it’s massively beneficial.

Yep, times are changing.  Popular artists are moving with that

Not sure I´d go as far say it´s a bargain. Other festivals have a lower price: Opener festival, for example, have a similar line up for around 250 Euros and Pukkelpop is around 270 Euros.

4 full days at Werchter seems better value to me.  Opinions though, different for everyone

Yes, last year I experienced, in my opinion, a better line up at Way Out West, for 200 Euros so as you say, opinions differ.

Way out west lineup was awesome last year, didn't go but awesome names.

What were the prices like inside, Roskilde is expensive so I'm presuming similar prices inside.

Yes it was a good year for them! Prices inside were probably a bit cheaper than Roskilde but still festival pricey.

I'm not sure what I'd say would be a good duo to be honest. Fontaines look fairly sure to be on Thursday. Paramore would fit under Green Day from my perspective but also under Olivia for Sunday.

When you work out separately those 4 days cost €548 compared to €348 with camping for four days. You absolutely can't grumble at that for £290. The difference between the hive and hive MySpace is quite substantial in cost. We looking at about £130 for a pre pitched tent option and sleeping package with a bit extra space?, doesn't seem too bad. Vs €42 and just bring my tent.

Is there anywhere close by to the site where you could go in get your tent pitched up and your own stuff inside the tent then hop out to a shop for drink supplies?

I would also look at this years Opener announced so far and no even be able to compare it. Opener 24 had Doja Cat, Sam Smith and Hozier in the top two over two days. They did have Maneskin second which I'll give them as clearly bigger is Belgium. Undercard though not upto the same level for me at least.

As much as I agree different options for the size of acts in comparison, Werchter is smashing that. You've maybe got one of the big name there currently from this year that would play the last slot at Werchter next year.

Yes, that´s probably true. I just meant for my personal music taste Werchter isn´t always worth the ticket price. Anyway, we´ll see where we are when more acts are announced.

Which are?

Well I was hammering shots of flavored vodka and drinking full strength beer at that fest.

Only rule I saw was that you had to drink mid strength Heni (silver) in the music arena. Then you can buy full strength in the food/drink areas.

Drinks wise I really couldn't complain. Rules in place didn't lessen my experience and I drink a lot.

Have they changed the rules? Before you could only drink in restricted areas.
