Yeah could be. Reckon she's sub Sam Fender or is their optimistic hope of another act in between them. Not sure if that could be TWOD as not sure who is the bigger act in Belgium.

 

On Festileaks someone has got the numbers from the queue today and looks like Saturday day tickets the least popular, so if that trend holds up it might be an extra incentive for them to try and strengthen it.

Not a big surprise tho, I guess they are the "hottest" headliner this edition. I guess RW made a good decision to book them for Thursday, which is traditionally slower in sales

I guess Linkin park are probably the hottest/biggest headliner name in Europe next year. 

This also shows newer stuff is selling well (Olivia, Noah).

I assume Sunday will sell well too.

It doesn't surprise me to be honest, it is one of only 4 European festivals they seem to be doing next year. I want the next lot of bands first although I have decided I will be trying in the Glastonbury resale.

Yeah I think it’ll be the next to go, OR with Noah is going to be a good combination for lots.  
 

I think with another couple of additions for Green Day that’ll do fine too.  Just the Sam Fender day will need some bigger additions to help sell the day

Ah ok, I didn't realise they played so few festivals. Yeah for me the undercards will be the dealbreaker this year since none of the headliners interest me that much. My daughter wants to see Olivia though😉

If Olivia wasn't on the lineup I'd have probably told myself already it wasn't happening and just gone with Download Friday at least because LP are definitely like an addon that would come part of it for me.

 

I'm not sure what camping option is best. I'd like the hive at least, extra space would be good but with my own tent.

I think its the gap in being around more than the new lead singer. Reunion hype isn't it. Set list wise I think is OK but theh could leave out 6 of them easy, New Divide for me is an easy one to leave out, as is my December and when they come for me. Leave out all the frst too really. Two faced in there is fine but both lying from you and points if authority have to be there for me. Afterall, they aren't a band that got better as time went on after M2M.

Hi all, first time poster on the Rock Werchter thread. 

 

Liking the look of this line up so far! Has anyone travelled to the festival from Scotland? If so, what's the best way and how straight forward is this? Looking at alternatives after missing out on Glastonbury ticket and deciding before trying/ditching the dreaded April resale!

I'm certainly no LP expert, saw them a few times at festivals but never owned any albums. Wife is a big fan of them and that scene. 

 

When a band had so much focus on the lead singer, I'm surprised they just can come back as headliners.

 

Different circumstances, but Kasabian had to work back up to bigger venues/festivals. That being said Queen did large venues and stuff when they returned with Lambert.

Glasgow to Brussels. Then free train from Brussels. 

 

I'm from midlands and usually go to St Panceras for the Eurostar, as its easier with luggage.

Yes, same here. I will choose between Werchter and Way Out West so will wait out some more announcements before deciding. 

 

Can´t help with the camping though. I always stay in a hotel or Airbnb in Leuven which is pretty nice.

Just had a peak. Wembley is not sold out but it looks close - just sideview nosebleeds and the optimstically priced VIP sections, but standing and at least 80% of the seats look gone on Ticketmaster.

I don't think the size of LP to Kasabian can really be compared though, I don't believe they were ever big enough to headline anything outside of the UK. I'm probably going back 7 years to an album for their that really makes strides.

I was basing it on UK tour/festivals pre assault charge and after.

Was talking about Kasabian in another thread. The only other place outside of the UK and Ireland they were seemingly a big deal was Italy, I think.

I know but the awards one bands got their albums vs the other and accreditation is like chalk and cheese.
