And they don‘t fit the Barn. Does the headliner always close the main stage at Werchter? Could NIN be some kind of late night act after Fender?

Feels very unlikely but I’ve seen stranger things at Werchter I also think it's unlikely but I'd buy tickets right away if NY will be there. He subbed Moby in 2008 so there's a tiny glimmer of hope. But not every act is a 100% for each spot right now, some other things still in the works. I’ve also been thinking about this from Ken this weekend. In my head, a top 4 of Iggy Pop > Fontaines DC > Deftones > LP is definitely more than acceptable for any festival, but is it plausible they’re still looking for acts to strengthen the sold out days to improve combi sales? Would be a very big day if they had a sub sized act to slot in here and move things around in my opinion
sisco
Been bored this morning and wondering who were likely to see in the next announcement. Obviously there’s a lot of crossover with the likes of Mad Cool, Nos and Pinkpop so thought I’d get an idea of how many acts we might still have to come from their lineups: Pinkpop 2024 fest - Pinkpop announced 27 in the first announcement - 11 played RW 2025 fest - Pinkpop announced 28 acts in the first announced - so far 6 announced for RW (including Weezer) Mad Cool 2024 fest - Mad Cool announced 74 in their first announcement - 16 played RW 2025 fest - Mad Cool announced 62 in their first announcement - so far 7 announced for RW (including Weezer) NOS 2024 fest - NOS announced 20 acts by end of December- 9 played RW 2025 fest - NOS announced 21 acts by the end of December - so far 6 announced for RW So looks like we’ll still get a good few acts from their lineups. Hoping myself for the likes of Biffy Clyro, Bloc Party, Glass Animals, Confidence Man and Cypress Hil Oh also apparently Pommelien Thijs have been announced via some Belgium reports
majmun
Is it possible we get a way bigger name than Fender just because he was the only one wanting to appear on the line-up as soon as October/November? They are still names like Chappell Roan, Macklemore or Turnstile (which I think are bigger) that are touring this summer and have announced very few dates
Karlos12345
Turnstile are not bigger. And Fender has been announced as headliner. No one will be „bigger“ that day at least from the festival‘s bookers‘ perspective.

Young pulled out just a couple of weeks before the festival due to a member of his band injuring their hand. Major Lazer were the eventual replacements but there was another artist who was willing to step in at short notice and play. They wanted a longer time slot though, as well as insisting on being the last act to play. The original schedule, which was how Pukkelpop often did it at the time, was for Neil Young to 'headline' but The Prodigy were the stage closers. The organisers asked The Prodigy if they would be prepared to swap positions and play earlier but they said 'no' (think they also gave them the opportunity to come back the following year as headliners but that was turned down as well). The deal fell through and the act in question never played. I know a few on here are aware but any guesses who it was?

It'll be interesting who sells quicker out of him and Green Day as less people have to book days off 'technically' for Fender. I don't think they would accept a Barn headliner.
sisco
Just been re-looking at this. I’m amazed Weezer are so low down on their day. Guess they’re just not popular at all in Belguim

Raye and Franz Ferdinand would sell more tickets than Fender in like 95% of the world.
