Ooh good stuff.  Others were saying they couldn’t earlier.  Glad you got sorted

To be honest, it was your post that gave me the kick up the backside to actually get tickets, after weeks of indecision.

So we’re going to Rock Werchter for the first time. Very excited. The lineup already looks amazing, with hopefully a few good additions to come.

Has anyone used the free transport from stations in Belgium? We’re probably going to arrive in Brussels by train.

Many times, it's a doddle.

You download a ticket from the SNCB website using your festival ticket number, then just use any ordinary train to Leuven or Aarschot (depending on which campsite you are in, I've only stayed in the Hive/Resort, so only ever done the Leuven route), then a free shuttle from the train station (follow the signs/crowds). They send out details much closer to the festival around May/June.

Me and my wife are going to our first Werchter this year, two combis and A1 campsite tickets are secured.
Searched for the information about the Hive (thanks everyone here!), and as far as I understand the only differences are:
- it opens a day earlier;
- it's operated by the festival itself;
- there are some afterparties.
Should we try to get tickets for the Hive on Ticketswap closer to the date if between a sleep and a party we definitely choose a sleep? Or is A1 good enough for us?
Also, don't have much hope, but if we are lucky enough to find decent priced accomodation in Leuven how difficult is it to get to the festival site and back every day?

Can't answer you on the camping as we're always staying in Leuven at a hotel (paid $315/night this year at Park Inn), but getting back and forth is quite easy, if you don't mind the 15 min walk to/from the bus stop (it's a nice way to get sober). There are shuttles going constantly and it's basically only after the main headliner we've encountered any issues with long lines. Getting up is normally no problem no matter when.

They're a band very high on my priority list this season, I can't lie.

All of the others seem perfectly plausible, wonder if Biffy have half a chance this year? Around at the time and seem to have realised their stock isn't what it was, added to the fact they aren't at Graspop (yet?) could stand them in good stead here.

I'm hoping that the names we're discussing here are spread across the Saturday/Sunday as they're much more sparce than the first two days for me currently

Can see all of these, except for maybe Bloc Party. Are these still something RW would book nowadays?

The name highest on my hope list: FKA Twigs. Playing DTRH and Opener around Werchter.

Patti Smith, Magdalena Bay, JPEGmaffia, Japanese Breakfast, Bright Eyes, Jessica Pratt, Thee Sacred Souls and Caribou would also be Great additions for me. Nine Inch Nails too, but that would be dreaming too much.

I have the following on my wishlist: TV on the Radio, The Last Dinner Party, Garbage, Alanis Morissette, Zeal & Ardor, Queens of the Stone Age, Bloc Party, Bright Eyes, Patti Smith, Jack White, L'imperatrice, Nine Inch Nails.

And a few unlikely ones: Massive Attack, Thom Yorke, Neil Young, Pulp.

Edit: I want Weezer and Franz Ferdinand as well but we already know they will show up.
