Slam Dunk 2025

The point is Slam Dunk might want to play their cards early to sell more tickets before the Download announcement because if Download announce Green Day, Jimmy Eat World, Yellowcard, Frank Turner, Beartooth and someone like Pierce The Veil or Avril Lavigne someone may choose to go Download over Slam Dunk.

I don't see that it matters as they are completely different weekends. We already know Slam Dunk aren't getting Green Day, JEW, Beartooth, Yellow Card played in 23 and they aren't regulars. Frank and PTV are the only one's and I'd say the latter would already be on the poster.

Of course it matters, if someone is looking to go to Slam Dunk or Download, Slam Dunk release the lineup might just push some more sales pre Download before people potentially commit to that instead.

I wouldn't really myself look at that Slam Dunk lineup and think of if Download announced any of those bands don't go to Slam Dunk anymore. Different festivals on the whole.

Plenty of people might though. You're one person.

And if I never seen Slam Dunk as an annual journey, it could definitely sway me as I like to do a camping festival each year.

Your are right, these days I'd probably ideally prefer an option of not camping and that's why I think Slam Dunks work well as a go in see the bands, bed at the end with shower and home. Glastonbury is a bit different and I only bought my new tent last year but it wouldn't bother me that much to not do a camping festival again...just it's unavoidable sometimes.

Elliot Minor just blacked out their profile photo, seems a bit conveniently close to Slam dunk lineup announcement, and they love a reunion/nostalgia show

Very much a band that would be booked for Slam Dunk, but very much a band I'd avoid. Think they had like one song. Came out around the same time as Madina Lake and we're like a weaker version of them being quite average anyway.

I wouldn’t mind that. I was into them for a short time in about 2007 😂 Jessica is a banger still.

Jera On Air have announced their first 10 acts; Polaris, The Ghost Inside, HEALTH, Landmvrks, Paleface Swiss, Nasty, Lagwagon, Catbite, Chaser & Pain of Truth. Could see these being split between 2000 Trees, Slam Dunk & DL.

Not their first 10, last month they announced:

Currents, Motionless In White, Nothing More, Fit For An Autopsy, Stick To Your Guns, H20, Stray From The Path, Thrice, Yellowcard and Hot Water Music.

Have they just not announced their headliners yet as 24 and definitely 23 are so much stronger up the top.

With Yellowcard still doing Ocean Avenue, I don't see them anywhere but Download. Can't see them doing the same thing two years apart at SD.

Nope, I would be fine with them opposite Korn for example. I'm hoping they have more stage crossover like they did this yesr compared to the usual all stages except maybe the Dogtooth on one day are shut off for headliner.

I don't think it's been confirmed anywhere that they're still doing Ocean Avenue on the festival run next year?
