Yeah gutted about that tbh. Would have loved that at South.

Much less risky than The Used with their form. No point in entertaining any of these Europeans one's though.
NorthernSoul52
Fascinated to see them make the continental move. Assume these are just big multi-act single bills on one stage, no?

They've ran France for a few years now and did Italy in 2023 as a three day event. Shame they've opted for the one dayers this round, obviously not enough bands available to do anything further. NorthernSoul52
I don't mind it as a one-day, one stage affair if the price is right. Saves a bit of hassle, and gets a good multi-act bill up for me. If I wasn't already trekking out to Europe twice the following month, might have tried Switzerland for this. northernangel
@Andre91 I remember seeing a post but not sure where it is but a surprising one. Firstly about Slam Dunk not being a good lineup this time round and booking the same old? Didn't they just do that when you have said before about it being the best day out of the year?, and to be honest it's one of the best reactions I've seen to a Slam Dunk announcement in all my time of going. People who didn't goin 2024 because it was well below bar that I know jumped on this instantly on poster one. I don't remember ADTR, Finch, Electric Callboy and Bad cop bad cop to name a few always being on the bill? It's very pricey unless you got them on at least early bird I would agree , though I'm not sure that was the issue. Also to mention Bloodstock as being where it's at?, that can only be used as a debate for a heavy metal festival, people who don't like it wouldn't see this as the case. I don't mind two bands there this year but I fully accept that it's not for me, kinda surpised one of those is even there too. It's a very good venue though. This year’s lineup was dire (absolutely dire). Next year’s is a bit better but it’s just still too full of the same old shite. There was a run for a few years when Slam Dunk always had a handful of the most exciting newer hardcore and emo bands on the lineup. They’re at Outbreak now. I’m well up for ADTR but it’s hardly an exciting booking is it. A band well past their best who should have headlined ten years ago. northernangel
That is Slam Dunk, even with new bands coming through they would end up just booking them all the time. The pool overall is smaller or someone's phase happens. I never went to Slam Dunk for the hardcore bands to be honest and thus wouldn't miss whatever outbreak book which is another I'd never attend. I ended up at Slam Dunk this yesr purely because of tickets for good so for for the 4/5 bands I saw it was worth on paper but overall not. Weather was terrible and Temple Newsum setup for Slam Dunk is awful compared to Hatfield. I've got a got ticket for the kaiser indie day there hoping it's all different as it's right up my street but that might get sold for a London ticket with just kaisers, Coral and we are scientists. I'm missing two bands but it's much easier and cost effective than getting up to Leeds and stopping.
NorthernSoul52
Weather was great in the north until about six on the Saturday, at which point it went from bone-dry underfoot to an absolute sludgefest. Still saw enough to tick a few off on the Sunday at Slammy D though.
