I really feel that Haim will be Wednesday at Forum

Either this - however theyd also be a perfect fit just befor one of the three pop headliners - or maybe Parcels? I feel like the Wednesday headliner has always been rather Legacy themed (St. Etienne, Suede, Belle & Sebastian, PSB, Phoenix) with the exemption of Big Red Machine but I don't see any fitting act on the line up that wouldn't be completely wasted

Going with the legacy theme- maybe TVOTR?

Not a bad shout at all (though I want them to play before LCD Soundsystem!)

The idea with the free Wednesday show was that it was a gift to the people of the city, wasn't it? Everyone could go, ticket holder or not.

So the act playing that doesn't always match up with the biggest, best, other headliners etc.

I remember catching Wolf Parade in a surprisingly big crowd one year. Local Natives too. Neither of those were the headline act that night, as far as I recall though.

Although it feels as though Pet Shop Boys and Phoenix have maybe made that a bigger slot than it was.

What are your favourite discoveries so far?

Machine Girl is probably the most interesting for me. Don't know how to describe them but I'd say there's definitely a bit of Aphex Twin and Death Grips in there, maybe The Prodigy as well.

I've been enjoying Tramhaus and Chat Pile as well. The Dare sounds like he would be very fun live.

Chat Pile sounds like something I'd enjoy, High Vis I never checked so far, but really like it. Zaho de Sagazan is a really nice surprise, probably wouldn't even have checked them on spotify until their A'dam show got brilliant reviews, but like it a lot now. And clearly Tramhaus is a no brainer!

Also liking The Dare, Machine Girl, Zaho de Sagazan.

Yaosobi, Fcukers, Frost Children, Brutalismus 3000, Tetas Frias, all sound like they'd be great live.

This is Loralei, Christian Lee Hutson, Maria Somerville, Salem for more downbeat sounds.

Lots of guitary stuff around too. Already a fan of feeble little horse, but julie, Momma, Been Stellar, Horsegirl on the list to see.

Loving the snottiness of The Dare, getting an occasional hint of Mark E Smith with them. Never thought sludge metal would be my thing but quite liking Chat Pile. Also loving Isabella Lovestory but I know reggaeton is not very popular on this forum.

The dare are fun. Lyrics of Girls are quite funny.

The Dare (I'm getting more of a Jame Murphy/!!! influence here), Fcuckers, Channel Beads, Cassandra Jenkins, Glass Beams (Kruanghbin vibes) and Been Stellar are my favorite new finds.

Absolute LCD vibes from The Dare and Fcukers.

I notice Fcukers, soon to support LCD, have been doing interviews about how they formed, and they literally "sold their guitars and bought turntables".

I'm loving even more that they are apparently cool New Yorkers, and are rocking the Road Man look. They even recorded a video on the backseat of a bus 🤣

I already liked them, but listened to feeble little horse a lot the last few days and really looking forward to them. Also julie (shoegaze/noise pop) and This is Lorelei (he is one half of Water from your Eyes) of those I didn't know before.

I checked out The Dare and yeah definitely a James Murphy vibe for me too... I like it

Machine Girl are interesting, reminds me a bit of Atari Teenage Riot/Alec Empire. I think they'd be really cool live

Also I just noticed Moritz von Oswald is on the lineup, this is very nice and possibly an Auditori candidate as it looks like he's doing his most recent album. Jonathan Fitoussi possible for Auditori too

Thought this would merit its own post.

What's the verdict on new LCD Soundsystem?

I'm liking this more each time I listen, sounds like early LCD, it's a proper bop.

Very catchy. Nice danceable groove to it. I'm excited for the new album!

From their latest post it sounds like they're working on the new album but it won't be out anytime soon

they clearly stated they will not play any new album at primavera, they will play their usual set with maybe a couple of new songs including this one

I'm not too fond of this. What made LCD Soundsystem unique for me in their sphere of sound was how seamlessly they made synthetic sounds feel "organic" in the grander pattern of the song. This one feels very modular and the sounds stacked on top of, not woven into each other. This needn't be a bad thing per se, but I feel this could've been more to my taste with slightly different production choices

A new increase in the ticket prices from tommorow. Should we expect the day splits after that?

Anyone with memories from last year?

Also, does all names from the current poster suppose to play between 4th and 8th oh june. Since i'm still planning the dates for the trip and want to be sure to not miss some of those names.
