it was initially yeh. think they were trying to advertise it as something different to their previous appearance but all references to pure phase disappeared pretty quickly.

 

still have my fingers crossed for a PP show at PS though

I'd be pretty surprised if they didn't do it. It's advertised as it, and they're so far down the bill that I can't imagine it being an issue.

 

How was the festival? I've been to Shiiine, but Rockaway felt a bit of a trek (from Manchester) so close to Xmas.

It has its noisy bits but there are a lot of quiet moments.

I think we all know what it sounds like 🙂

This debate came up when they were first announced. I'm in the camp that says that (in a similar way to Massive Attack, or Beach House), their "quiet" songs can still fill a huge outdoor space, without having to ask the crowd to hush. They can still have a lot going on in the quiet sections.

great fest. much older audience. not a party like shine. i’ve been to all ten and it’s grown quite a lot.

 

think it still gets tarred with the slightly uncool butlins weekender vibe but it’s always good fun. it’s on the second of january next year which is super early.

What if it was something like, normal show at Ciutat in a club and Pure Phase show at the Auditori festival? it might work

suits me - i was just trying to convey how, of late, they can pretty much play inside or out as even the slow stuff is dynamic enough to fill out spaces

Glastonbury too? I don't know, it seems strange to me that they come for 2 concerts in Europe

They won't be at Glastonbury.

 

I would assume there's more European dates but I've just seen the UK ones. They're playing Canada in August and the US in September.

The UK ones are a rumour. But a Canadian and American date in August and September respectively were briefly put up today and removed. The announcement was meant to be today I assume but was pushed back due to the fires in LA. I would assume next week now.

If NiN gets added, it's becauese they were book waaaaay before the festival was even sold out, and because of the embargo couldn't be shared on poster day. I'd day there's a chance they'll be there...

Agree it’s not completely impossible but I think they would have teased there was one more headliner coming.
