Wow electronic music has changed over time. I'm guessing this is what you call more underground. -

Just had a random memory from 2010 when thinking about this thread. Smallest crowd I‘ve ever seen on one of the main stages - Dirty Projectors on The Park. I wanted to catch their first few songs before legging it over for the start of Stevie on the Pyramid. Think I was one of 15 people there, was tragic haha! -

Yes I did notice is didn't sell greatly. I actually think I checked ticketsforgood at one point and if it was there probably wasn't viable for me. Imfact I just checked and it was a Sunday with the decemembrists too but unable to get back that night unless I drove which means hotel costs really adding up. You are correct though in that APE is in general way not my cup of tea but that was. It's a 6music collection essentially and a radio station I barely listen to. It is although I get his point. It's a bit like but to leaser extent me looking at. Reading bill and expecting a school leavers weekend in the field to book for someone who's 38. The big difference is that APE has never really been for me, Reading was. I went Field Day this year so same venue but separate from APE for Charlotte de Whitte who at a guess didn't have a big a crowd as I was guessing she would and although many left after her, I imagine Justice crowd was bigger as they are generally bigger on the overall scale. Justice also give me some Tame Impala vibes and that's never going to be good....another booked for APE haha. -
According to someone who sometimes gets leaks green day seem to be out due to being very expensive. That person also said maybe for guns n roses. i would assume guns would be more expensive than green day to book but if green day were skipping spain because of the mad cool fiasco i can see them increasing their price to skip spain

Went to see Interpol at Alexandra Palace last night. Pretty happy with it - sound was punchy, Antics stuff still sounds great, they played My Desire and Roland, which I'm happy with, crowd was into it. Pretty good evening at the end of a tricky week. Support acts were mixed. First act Dust had something about them and were quite loud, second act Iceage just sounded muddy and also did not once talk to the crowd, so did feel a bit like being in on a practice session.
