Things have changed. The biggest acts have found out they can charge far more for their tickets than previously and still sell out. As such, it's going to be harder for the likes of Glastonbury to still attract global superstars with the peanuts they offer.
Regarding Fender, he may not be huge globally, but in the UK he is a stadium act and it does seem a case of when, rather than if, he headlines the Pyramid
Not really any intrinsic relationship AFAIK, it was incorporated into the Green Fields after having been punters camping in order to accommodate Green Fields crew who for whatever reason couldn’t be accommodated elsewhere. Having now done some Googling it’s fairly easy to find out who coordinates the Green Fields. She has some clout and much respect at Glastonbury
