Hospitality Areas

CDF

Recommended Posts

This will be my 3rd year at Glastonbury and I attend by way means of the VIP hospitality tickets that I apply for.

I still feel like I have made no where near use of those tickets and really only taking advantage of the bar by the Park Stage and West Holts Stage.

Does anybody know of any other areas where I can take advantage of these tickets?

Does Woodsies have a VIP bar? If so, how do you get to it?

Any other tips would be very greatly appreciated

Their are loads of extra areas and bars that they are supposed to get you in but I have no idea where they are

if its the sort of bar that lets people in because they  have a special wristband you probably want another bar.

I think most of the extra bars you will find on site are crew bars for people working. A lot of them will also let you in with a hospitality band but there’s nothing mega VIP about them. The interstage area is probably the only bit that you get for hospitality that’s extremely specific to it? That and the camping. Someone who has used it will know more than me but it’s not really a VIP extra bonus ticket, more you are paying for the guaranteed entry and not having the queue with the plebs on ticket day! Nearly all bought by music industry staffers to my knowledge?

i know that but i go by the old adage that any club which would have me as a member isn't a club i want to join.

I more meant the person after extra VIP bits.

you've got a ticket to a festival, none of that is in the VIP bits.

Very much depends on the bar and even on the person working the door at that exact moment - some will let H bands in, while at the same time some will take glee in telling the person to f**k off.

Yup have to agree with this. Whilst I have GA tickets each year. I’ve been given a H band a serval times in the last few years and in the past we’ve been turned away from some and been luckily at other times. I’d never pay the price you see some doing so for a Hospitality ticket . As has been said before the only benefit is the shaving off of the step count across site or using it as a slightly ( often very slightly ) less congested area for us to meet up before heading off again .

Unless you think getting preferential treatment and lots of benefits that the other people don't get is an indication of how important you are regarded.

If you weren't there no one would give a sh*t and the festival would carry on regardless no matter how much you pay for your ticket.  Ergo you're not important.

The same can be said about the royal family, but they're given everything going. And even their lives are protected more than mine. You can say everyone should have the same importance, and that's a lovely ideal. It's not reality though.
