I wouldn't say it rules them out completely, purely because Green day did RaR/ rip, then did 2 of their own headline shows the same week. Less likely for sure, but I think that if it's doing both or not playing, the organisers have previous of being practical.

No they are out. Stadiums in Frankfurt and Düsseldorf are too close to Rock am Ring.

Thanks, I hadn't considered proximity. Muse must be in the running for either this or hurricane/southside after dropping a tour today.

They did Hurricane & Southside in 2023. Would 2025 be too soon for Muse to return there?

They said in an early interview that they gonna play festivals next summer and especially mentioned Germany. I wouldn't count them out just yet.

Wanna bet? No headliner of Rock am Ring EVER played stadiums in Frankfurt, Düsseldorf, Hannover and Berlin during the same summer.

 

LP is 100% not playing.

Is it unlikely, yes, but not impossible, we don't know when they are playing the stadiums. Maybe they play RaR and then the stadiums in September.

Gutted to see LP out of the running.  Would have been a huge get for the 30th Anniversary.

 

Muse would be a nice consolation prize. Looking at Download's announcement yesterday could Korn potentially be in the running?

That's crazy if so, Nova Rock usually looks decent and can you imagine grabbing LP, Slipknot and FF presumably what it was in the same year. Korn there too as to be honest are headlining everything they are playing.

 

It's mad as well, I remember being really excited when they were announcing their tours and now there's just no interest. I know I'd walk away thinking it just wasn't the same.

 

If Muse were the final headliner for the festival it's the easiest no to a RAR edition I'll have had. So much easier than this year or even 23.

I'd have to say Muse currently but that's a guess. I'd very doubt MCR with them having just announced their USA tour. They've got no reason to have not announced by now. BMTH, Slipknot and Muse for me these days is garbage. The issue is more though I've seen everyone I want to at the point they were worth seeing and numerous times. I'm running out of when a festival is for me but that Sunday I have to admit would not be a day I'd put Muse on.

I doubt it’s MCR either, but I think it’s likely that Rock Am Ring had thought they had LP until they pulled out to do stadiums, and just had to throw the bag at someone last minute.
