I thought these types of tickets came with details on when/where you can enter the site and where you need to get your accreditation etc? Maybe speak to the person who issued it to you?

They do, you should be able to get details from the issuer 🙂

Can't be "too" early - you need to do an additional site safety course in order to go on the site before 8PM Tuesday 25th. If you go on site from Sunday 23rd you need that course done to get a safety card given to you.

May be different for specific site areas, but that is the rules for us in stewarding.

This is a grey area (still) as WaterAid were on site from Sunday before and I was briefed that we had to do the site safety Induction to be on site literally the day of travel.  It then transpired this was not the case and we were on site briefing teams at locations on Tuesday afternoon onwards.  One thing you can be sure of at Glastonbury is consistent inconsistency.

I am always stunned at the Telehandlers still bombing about the site doing last minute fixes whilst others are wandering around with a pint.

Good to know - first year for me so very much "playing it by the rules" at the moment 😄

Can only go off what we got told on training and is on our required training status page for now with no first hand experiences.

I hear you Chris. You have to go with what you are briefed.  Glastonbury is like a military operation and is incredibly organised but still manages to feel very chaotic at the same time!

Part of the appeal for me.  Love a bit of organised chaos.

Hi - been on a couple of times already and they are not giving the card there is a different type of wrist band than usual with a prominent QR code and they scan it every time you come in and leave

Ah, that makes sense then - was told there would be some new changes in this year during the training around the ID for stewards etc but they didn't know the details during the training course as no one had seen them yet 😄

In the past even last year I think it was pretty lax - I usually go in and out a few times in the run up peaking at every day from the thursday before. I would only wear my hi viz if I was in a place where the telehandelers are whizzing around . this year there was an audible tutting when I got out of my car and went to the boot to get my high viz - I think in future I'll put it on before I get there - don't want to upset anyone.  there will be people that say I've been doing it 30 years and I've never ben stopped for not wearing one. I don't understand that Flex - the festival invest a lot of time, money and energy into making it safe why flout the rules . I've never had an airbag go off in my car - wouldn't buy one without them just in case !

Hi,

First year on an Artist Ticket, minimal info, my question is what's the earliest I can I get on site?

From my experience, if you’re on it as a performer you usually don’t have site access until Wednesday onwards. Although I think I remember some people with performer tickets turning up Tuesday thinking of it…

Each Staff/Performer ticket is allocated to a different area and lead. It really depends on the area. Probably the most likely you could get on earlier with that ticket is Theatre and Circus, maybe Avalon - the older more festival centred areas than commercial ones. As ppl have said best thing to do is check with your ticket issuer for help! good luck!!

I know it's a while ago now but we were in T&C in 2019 and were allowed in on the Monday and had access to pretty much all public areas and staff bars.  Two of the group tried to arrive  earlier on the Saturday to set up camp and were told to go away until the Sunday when they were allowed to enter.
