Thursday pub crawl ideas

So we’ve got a fair few newcomers to Glastonbury in our group this year (and this is my first time where I’m waking up on site on Thursday). So we are thinking about a Thursday pub crawl/orientation (in the loosest sense).

Rough agenda is to cover the northern western half of the site first (eg san remo, cider bus, car henge, ridge and furrow, Avalon etc) but then we have a choice, continue into the SE corner or head up to the park.

Obviously this is massively hypothetical and we’re trying to make this orientation/pub crawl as organic as possible and doubt many people will stick with it for the full term but instead drop in and out, but if we did head  to the SE corner, has anyone got any good recommendations for bars that we should try and take in on a Thursday? (The times I’ve been there have been after dark and my memory has been pretty sketchy 😄) Also if there are any recommendations for bars/pubs in the northern half of the site that we should make a trip to I’d love to hear them!

Again I want to stress this is not supposed to be some perfect itinerary but rather a rough idea of interesting bars spread around a decent portion of the site to give people an initial appreciation for the festival and what it offers.

I’ve not been but I believe there’s meant to be quite a nice cocktail-type bar in the Theatre fields which might be a nice civilised option!

Bimble Inn is one of our favourites, always enjoy one at the Brothers bar on West Holts but you’ll probably have lots of opportunities to go there without going out of your way.
