Day ticket price for each individual day was over 150 Euro... it normally this pricey?

I think they were around 130 euro last year. But, can't recall 100%. I only go weekend ticket. Works out £120 which is good value compared to Download day ticket.

Well yeah - weekend ticket is always the best value. I was just surprised at the large day ticket, though I'm aware it's kind of the going rate given Reading's also now clears the £100 mark and then some.

A question about camping:

In my previous experiences, I found it challenging when the campsites were too crowded (e.g. the hive at RW). People fall over your tend when they try to reach theirs, because everyone are so densed together.

I saw that pinkpop has the option for a pre pitched tent. Can I hope for a bit more space and order if I go for this option? Is that an area where there are only pre pitched tents? Or are the tents super crowded anyway?

Compared to other festivals, the campsites are quite strictly managed as they fill up and purely from my experience, I haven’t seen tents get wedged into constrained spaces (unlike I’ve witnessed Leeds / Reading and Download). Once a campsite is deemed full, they put out on socials and announce to the queue and strategically channel people through campsites as they fill the sites.

Again, anecdotally - campsite etiquette is much better than other festivals I’ve been to, and you get a sense of people’s space / stuff been respected. No waking up in the early hours to a big campfire 2 feet from your tent (like Leeds fest…) haha. But, the campsites have a buzzing atmosphere and everyone friendly / a great sense of excitement and people there for a celebration of great music. The caveat is, that it’s only my experience. But, I find it significantly better / safer than many others.

We’ve actually booked a Yurt in the Glampink this year. We find Festitent and pre-prepared tents much better, as it works out more cost-effective than checking luggage on Ryanair and saves the hassle of setting up / breaking down a camp.

Some interesting comments. Sounds like exciting additions to come. Historically, announcement #2 usually is packed with established artists and some big hitters. Tends to drop mid-late January.

Thank you so much for this answer. I think I'll go for it. Thanks!

Another funny question - apart from Amsterdam, are there any international airports nearby? I was told that maybe brussles is closer, but I assume that trains from Amsterdam would be more frequent... any recommendations here?

Maastricht is apparently the closest, although I didn't know there was an airport there ngl. Wikipedia says it's not served by many if any flights.

When I did my research for a consideration of coming along, I looked at Cologne as a possibility. Tbf I had looked at Amsterdam before realising it was a 3 hour train ride.

Apparently Dusseldorf is closer than Cologne and Eindhoven might be a go-er as well.

Guess it depends where you're coming in from.
