CaledonianGonzo
Definitely feels like it. Maybe they really have clamped down on folk being spun in.
mouserat
Nowhere feels impossible so far which is a refreshing change from last Thursday. Wondering if that will change as we get towards evening though. That said, Stonebridge bar looked as heaving as ever.
paulshane
Friend of mine who works here says there are more behind the scenes changes to epo (he didn't elaborate) and said it's much quieter this year, so yes, looks like it may be more difficult to borrow a band Edited June 27, 2024 by paulshane
kalifire
Defo quieter but there are some places absolutely rammed. Hopefully will ease as stages open up properly tomorrow.
prestonmike
That's good to hear, last time i went, 2022, it was ridiculously busy wherever you went, one of the reasons why i didn't try for a ticket in 2023, but this year i was just unlucky in the sales, hopefully if i am lucky again next year, it'll back to how things used to be where although it was busy, there always felt like somewhere you could go that was quiet to get away from things.

ShuMart
How busy it was in 2002 made me think twice about going last year. Glad to hear its better, it was bordering on ridiculous
A Particular Grey Chihuahu
It's my first Glasto so I'm not an authority on the matter, but from what I've seen on site and what I've read on the forum in the lead-up, it feels like everyone has been well distributed this year. There don't seem to be any silly bookings that's going to suck everyone in. 2

People might not like the Superfence but it was essential to the festival's survival.
al_coholic
Stonebridge bar for Baggy Mondays and the park in general is heaving. But agree that across the site is better

czuk
QR codes on the EPOs that are being scanned on the way in and out so I've heard.
clarkete
Still some places very busy (PGC exit last night stationary for 30 minutes presumably due to traffic, plus some stages today), plus still some arriving so don't count yer chickens until we properly start 😉
Ayrshire Chris
Big queue at hospitality wicket gate, seems a lot still to arrive. Been easier to move around today but the hard ground, not complaining, is sore on the feet😊
Justcalledtosay
Just had a message from friends...they had a 3 hour wait to get into Worthy View this afternoon.
prestonmike
I guess the first real test is tonight when the acts start and everyone tries to go see the same person, i gave up trying to watch anything on the Thursday night last time i went and just wandered around the smaller stages that had things going on
Tom_12
Strummerville was a sh*t show earlier, security which clearly weren’t experienced trying to manage an eager crowd trying to get in.

Yes, huge amount of folk wanting to see Frank Turner. Surely they must have realised that especially on a Thursday with so few live acts on that this was always going to be rammed. Will be the same when he’s on the Avalon. Such a big crowd pleaser he should have been on a big stage .

foolee
Rammed by Glade for Kurupt FM, didn’t bother trying to get in. The Royston Club in Bread & Roses was pretty busy but expected. Generally busy around levels and bbc introducing. Bit gutted introducing isn’t a tent anymore

He announced two sets tomorrow, the one at Avalon and another 2pm at "colour and concept", so assumed to be Greenpeace.
Wooderson
Crush around Greenpeace/railway in past hour or so was bananas. Pisspoor crowd control.
SighMo
Getting out of the Lynks set at Greenpeace wasn’t great. Hundreds pushing in as we were leaving.
