Thought the BBC nailed it (again). There may have been a slightly wider barrier to accommodate the second stages, but it's been plenty wide in past years. Was the accessible viewing platform a lot bigger this year? Seemed likeitt. -
This. I posted something on the Sunday I think it was, saying something similar that we've crossed a bridge into a fully orchestrated and choreographed promotional broadcast from a festival where the fans are now more like spectators. Disappointed that Shangri-la had not changed more than slightly from last years theme and design / concept either. I agree it's become a ball ache to get to now as well all the way through the crowd just for a gig at the Rocket Lounge.

I mean, his game yesterday was wild. Seemed to act like no goal would count if he didn't score it and genuinely seemed to have his head go when he missed that penalty.

I was priced out of it last year and saved like a bastard for it this year to be able to go. The place has become more and more middle class in the time I've been going but there are still plenty of working class voices to be heard at the festival I find. The festival itself, however, is absolutely fantastic value. I ate well, drank from the bars as well as my own drinks and bought plenty of coffee/cans of soft drinks and all in it cost me less than £200 including overpriced crap grabbed during the journey there and back. For me the ticket plus coach costs plus replacing a couple of bits of worn out camping gear came to nearly £600. As someone who works part time with health issues that occasionally see me missing a week or two's wages every few months it's not easy to scrape that together without going without. I fully expect the ticket to be in the region of £390 plus fees next year. It just feels like the direction things are going.

Bet that if a Democrat president had kicked up such a cloud of stink on the way out after an election defeat that there's no way a pro-Republican Supreme Court would rule in such a way.
