Interestingly, a wealthy friend of mine who moves in Tory circles, is hearing from a lot of people he knows who normally vote Tory, that while 2 weeks ago they were saying "dunno, but I'm not voting tory this time" or "sure, Starmer will do, the Tories have f**ked up too much", they're now saying "I don't want Labour to have a huge majority" implying that the "don't give Starmer a supermajority" line has actually cut through a bit. I only have 2nd hand connections to Tory voters, and these are people who had been swinging to Labour, but that's interesting.

I didn't see anyone from BT at Glastonbury this year, so no gossip from me either 😕

Was just about to ask stuie if the system was more reliable this year as there were definitely times where it was a problem the previous two years but I guess you've just answered that. -
I'll be making use of this tonight: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/19rlpmG_zNEXv9SX0XF3dVr3xsjMM-ghTVbjjX2j4s94/edit?pli=1&gid=1747435381#gid=1747435381 It's got all seats listed plus comments about notable candidates, but crucially gives the estimated time of declaration.

53. I started getting some nasty bad backs with spasming muscles a few years back and this year's gift has been that I now get hip pain. I'm also not at chair age yet, I'm happy to park my arse on the ground, lean against a fence or a flag pole if I can, stick my day back as a bit of lumbar support if not. I worried in 2022 that, as it seems to take just one wrong movement to send my back into buggery for days, I might not be up to the task but this has been the second festival I've successfully got through without issue since the back has been a bit sh*t. If I ever get to chair age I reckon I'd get to smaller festival age first anyway.
