For all the chaos that happened in the SE corner on Friday, we wandered up into the Park after Arcadia finished and had the best time, all of the venues were busy-fish but accessible, and of course went on until 6am. The problem isn't the lack of alternative options, but that the SE corner is the place to be for many, and also because the other areas close at 3, there's a desire to be down there by 1.30/2 before the last wave come in. TBH I don't see why venues like Assembly, San Remo and maybe Firmly Rooted can't have their timings extended - Levels and Lonely Hearts are massive and loud so I can see why keeping those open til 3 stays. But if you give people an alternative option then they will feel more inclined to stick around the area for a while (albeit there is a risk those venues themselves also get overrun). We were at Levels on Saturday and basically felt like Skream was playing a private gig, rather than to a filled crowd - the entire right hand side of the field was empty - I don't mean quiet but without a single person there - and there was room at the front that you could have filled the crowd at least 10-deep and still have space to dance. Part of that will be because he wasn't announced on the lineup and Secret Glasto tweeted it super late, but something needs to be done to encourage people in towards those areas without feeling they need to go to the SE corner for a post-3am fix (even though that's exactly what we did at about 2.30).

Yeah, definitely. Last year I think I spent more time away from the main 6 areas than ever before and it was brilliant. -
I was stewarding on PGC on Saturday morning stood right next to the search tables and was quite amazed at the level of searching there, emptying every pocket, running fingers around the edges of shoes etc. Only noticed a handful of 'finds' tho

Just watched SZA’s set back on iplayer. I left after 45 mins, despite being a fan of hers since around 2017, to go and watch The National and I don’t regret that at all. For me it’s the sound issues with the mic that plague the first half of the set that put me off and watching on tv it’s not much different. She definitely sounds better later on in the set but there is a lack of engagement from her which I know doesn’t usually go down well at Glasto so maybe that’s contributed to the poor reaction. That said, the people the front look like they’re having the time of their lives on the BBC and the set really comes to life with songs like F2F and Nobody Gets Me - I just felt those moments were few and far between, and then the mic situation was just bizarre. She’s basically unintelligible for the first half of her set which is a massive shame. Does anyone know what this issue is? I’ve heard all sorts from feedback to auto tune but I’m non the wiser except that it sounds muffled to me. -

I teach reformer Pilates and load of people who work out and are fit have weak glutes, a it's hard to isolate them and they can be lazy. But at 37 you are nowhere near chair age! I'm 50 next year and I'm nowhere near chair age. Definitely try and sort your posture, do Pilates (reformer if you can, strengthen your hips, spine, core, glutes), and walk a lot. Next year I reckon you'll feel a huge difference.
