what makes her not deserving?

For one, because she uses backing vocal tape way too much during her live shows (based on the recordings that I saw on Youtube).

Also cause I think her music is trash, though I'm sure plenty of people here will disagree.

But mainly cause there are so many other acts out there who would deliver a far more memorable Pyramid headlining set. And even if the crowd sizes there would be less than what Roan would get, who cares? Attendance is not everything.

No way Stormzy or The 1975 are anything but Pyramid headliners.

Any reason other than hope that Fred Again is headlining the Pyramid?

Few murmurings from other sites I think.

With an album dropping next month and (presumably) a European leg of his tour next year, plus the fact he loves the place, it makes total sense.

This + electronic dance music is massively popular among the attendees so it makes total sense to have a Pyramid headliner in that genre.

If Fred does headline, I hope he keeps the tempo a little better next time. His Other Stage slot was good, but it wasn't the dance-a-thon people were hoping for.

Looking forward to hearing him for the first time at Reading

I'm sure you'll have a blast. It was still worthwhile seeing him - and that's as someone who hadn't really listened a lot to him before I got a ticket. He just kind of talked A LOT. It was sweet in a way, he wanted to talk about the people he'd sampled and found on YouTube etc, but I also selfishly just wanted to dance non-stop for an hour, lol.

i dunno i thought it was excellent. his sets mostly have a personal element to them., ive seen him live loads and i love his sets. just feels more personal than a standard set. will be a great evening if he headlines, good mix of dancing and more introspective moments.

Sure, it's only my take. It's the same across the board really when it comes to live music. A little chat, I'm okay with that after 3-4 songs, but after every song, it starts to get a bit much. I thought the same when I watched Foos' gig back from 2017, off the top of my head.

I really did enjoy his genuine appreciation for the festival and the moment though. I think that puts him in a good position to headline and if he did headline, it would be great I'm sure.
